"We could not have been more disappointed with our first experience at Soulivia’s. We made a reservation for Father’s Day. Hubby loves southern cuisine and I like jazz….we were promptly seated and told we were lucky they had menues because sometimes they don’t. I noticed the sax player was outside! It was piped in but you could barely hear it. The second thing we noticed was how incredibly quiet the other patrons were….this wasn’t a buzzing, upbeat place. The flowers on the tables were pretty dead…Only one table inside had food….which comes to the third issue, after listening to other customers and looking outside, food was taking a really long time the couple next to us had already waited over an hour. The couple behind us had waited over an hour as well. There was no children’s menu. We did order drinks but those took over 20 minutes. We didn’t even wait for them. We ended up leaving. I understand that there is a staffing shortage and we all need to have patience….. an hour plus for food is not a good fit for our family."
