"We have eaten there a number of times and really like this restaurant. out of of us enjoyed our dinner. The had eggplant parmesan and found the cheese to be a little bitter. The never ending servings of small crispy garlic rolls are delicious and quite unusual. Haven't found them anywhere else. I personally have never had a bad meal. Therir sauces are outstanding and my favorite entree is the veal Marseilles sp?. The service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend this restaurant"

"we had some friends visiting from the state, and out go-to Italian place is closed for the slurry season, so we decided to try giampietro based on the same level as our favorite stretch italian restaurant. unfortunately, eating did not live until the evaluation. a lot of people had pizza, so maybe that's good, but the pasta dishes we had were a big disappointment. it began with the filled bowls my wife ordered. they were not the huge filled dishes they would expect. they were tiny. not velveeta shells n cheese tiny, but close. the filling and the sauce were uninspiring, and it lacked taste. I had cheese manicotti, but with alfredo instead of tomato sauce, and added meatballs. the Alfredo sauce also lacked taste, and the manicotti noodles felt as if they had been made a long time ago. the meatballs were simply eggs of ground beef. no real spice or taste. our guests had the baked ziti with meatballs (same problems) and the chicken marsala. the marsala tasted more like a sweet water than a marsala wine sauce, and the whole plate, like everything else, was very difficult in taste. Moreover, the staff seemed more interested in the NBA game on television than on the work in the restaurant, but I think that is the norm owner expecting us to accept these days. all in all, giampietro was an extremely disappointing experience. I hope the pizza is good, but we will never be there again. if michaels (our favourite place) is not open, we will get for another type of food. giampietro is not worth taking the chance on itself. for a meal that ordered at almost $150 without alcohol, I have now buyer remorse."

"This small hole in a wall establishment is a great place to start my open table reviews. Although not my first time at this restaurant, my overall dining was a delightful experience from start to finish as usual. The lighting at the restaurant is a little off but the delicious food and impeccable service made for a memorable experience. "I recently had the best steak I've had in a long time at this restaurant. It was cooked perfectly, flavorful, tender, and reasonably priced. The only issue was that it was served on a cold plate, so it cooled down quickly before reaching the table. If they could address that one issue, it would easily be a five-star experience."

"Spaghetti was pretty good but as far as the wings , they mentioned that you could choose from plain , mild , medium, or hot but you were not able to actually choose an option . I thought someone would call to ask me how i wanted the wings done but no one called . They ended up just giving giving me plain wings that i paid $17 for and couldnt choose which flavor . Very unfair"

"This was the first stop of our night out with family and friends, ranging in age from 1 to 80 years old. It was an early dinner and then on to the Botanical Gardens for the holiday light show so we weren’t on a deadline. Good thing, too… we arrived at Shells Sauce at 3:30pm and due to the extreme delay between ordering and then the food arriving at our table; and again after having finished and finally receiving our bill; the experience took two full hours, start to finish. Other than that, it was fantastic. We were warmly welcomed at the door by a gentleman we originally mistook for another patron (since he was wearing a coat and hat), the menu had something for everyone (including the vegetarian, the carnivore and the baby), the food was fantastic and the mood was festive (took awhile for us to catch on that the servers were participating in an Ugliest Holiday Sweater contest with each other). I’ll be back!"

"My husband and I decided to have a nice lunch today and chose to go to DiMaggio's Trattoria in Port Washington. We had heard that they had a wide variety of options and prices to choose from. We were pleasantly surprised! Dave ordered linguini puttanesca and a glass of Monteplciano while I opted for a pizza. The food was delicious. Our waiter, Phillipe, was very friendly, and the owner, Eddie, was also welcoming. We initially didn't plan on having dessert, but Eddie insisted that we try his wife's freshly baked chocolate cake. It turned out to be the best chocolate cake we've ever had. Eddie even treated us to shots of Limoncello to end our meal perfectly. We felt like we were part of the family at DiMaggio's Trattoria. We will definitely be returning and have nominated them for the My Pleasure! Customer Service Excellence award. Well done, DiMaggio's Trattoria! Thank you for the outstanding customer service."

"Far from traditional, you should know what you're getting into going in. I was there on a Friday night and the Atmosphere was a blast. Definitely a rowdy clientele, so don't go if you want a quiet evening. Classic red sauce Italian, though a bit much sugar in the sauce for my taste. Great value. Service wasn't amazing, the ticket time on the bulk of our meal ran up the about 75 minutes, and the staff could be rude (depending member to member), though I think they have a particularly tough job to do and so I can't begrudge them for it.Overall, I'd be happy to go back with a large group."

"I found the chicken francese to be quite good, though the crust could have used a bit more cooking time to achieve a proper golden brown. The spaghetti was the same type of pasta that you find at any other Italian restaurant. My wife ordered spaghetti with meat sauce, which didn’t impress us. The pasta was topped with a standard premade canned tomato sauce and some small pieces of meat from the pizza kitchen, making it rather unremarkable. The complimentary oil and vinegar tossed salad was just a bagged mix. Overall, this place felt like an average Southern USA Italian restaurant offering slightly fancier dishes and pizza, but nothing special."

"Great restaurant I've been coming here for years, their staff is so friendly, the food is very fresh. I wish they had better food containers for removal, they did not seal well, the box was full of liquids. Food is great! Loved her pastas and tried her whole fish branzino tonight, I like it with chopped garlic and herbs. All I've tried is good!"
