"This is my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. This is where we take people we love, and people we want to impress with the quality of food and the reasonable prices. Don't even bother to open the menu it's full of boring Italian fare that you can get anywhere. Let the server regale you with his salivatory descriptions of the specials. There are about a dozen each day, two or three starters, and the rest absolutely fabulous dinner options. It takes him about ten minutes to recite the whole thing; he's the biggest foodie I've ever encountered, and he's NOT the owner. The options are glorious and we always have a hard time choosing. But the porcini mousse starter with strips of aged Parm is incredible; it's hard not to lick the plate. Desserts are equally outstanding. Wine is reasonable but we bring our own and pay the very reasonable corkage. There are only about nine tables in the whole place, so there's never a mob. I'll keep coming back as long as this place is open. It's that good."
