But when I arrived the music was deafening, the seating even at the bar gave one no room to move, the wait was endless—they took reservation, but not from single diners—and treatment I got from the hostess reeked of 'tude. The had a mix of jazz and pop playing at a level that didn 't suggest you would leave the place without your hearing or your sanity. There was a pleasant view of the passing scene—and a soccer match on the big screen. The staff acted as if they were pleased I was there.
