"This Chinese gem is known for one thing their Peruvian menu. Ask for the Peruvian menu but if you're not a true Peruvian you will be kind of lost with the names...let me tell you what is a safe great choice that will never disappoint. Order the arroz chaufa con chancho, a dozen of wonton frito con chancho (meat inside , and also order the pekang (sp? chicken. This is not in the Peruvian menu but it simply amazing. I also love the chi jau kay (sp? but it's not everyone's favorite. The food is cheap and the portions are very generous. The service is whatever and sometimes they put inappropriate movies on the tv while you eat (lol but the food i mentioned is simply amazing."

"This was my first time trying Golden Phoenix. I had high hopes based on the many good reviews. I did see the bad ones that mentioned dry chicken but I gave it a try. I absolutely LOVED the shrimp fried rice. The Crispy Orange Chicken breading had great flavor but the chicken itself was bone dry. The veggie chow mein was disappointing, it had a slimy texture and it had a weird odor and flavor. I couldn't eat it. I am someone who doesn't usually leave reviews at all much less a bad one. I hope they will see this and do better because their food is expensive and currently not worth the money based on quality of the food."

"I am from NJ and went through the city today to make a delivery and found this place on Google. I must say that people living in this area are lucky to have a great Chinese place like this. I made my order this morning with a really nice lady at the counter and the food I ordered was great!! I live in North Jersey and we have so many great Chinese places and I wish this was close to home. I'm coming through Seymour at least once a week....I'm definitely going to keep for a little more great food."
