"Mazatlan is the single greatest authentic Mexican restaurant experience in Eastern North Carolina. The food is phenomenal. Everything is cooked, seasoned, and prepared to perfection. It is simply delicious. I cannot get enough of it. Another major benefit to the cuisine is the abundance and quality of the chips and salsa. I have never had better salsa at any other restaurant. The food at this establishment puts all other Mexican food in Greenville to miserable soul-crushing shame. The staff at Mazatlan are charming, courteous, and lovely. The owner Rico, a horse-riding legend in Eastern North Carolina, frequently comes to check on all his guests. His infectious charisma and suave add an authentic flavor to the entire experience that cannot be beat. I could really write an entire book about how much I love Rico and his magnificent restaurant.
