"If I could give a non-vegetarian restaurant 5 stars, I would. I appreciate their options in a community that likely would not sustain a vegetarian restaurant. We had lunch at Roots today. My husband ordered the black bean sandwich (comes with cheddar cheese which could be removed) and I ordered the tofu sandwich (which comes with aioli which can be removed substituted). The staff was very courteous and accommodated our requests for changes even suggesting some substitutions. Both meals were very tasty. My husband ordered fries as a side and I ordered a quinoa salad which was amazing! The atmosphere was conducive to conversation and table sizes not cramped. Our meals cost $25."

"We both had the blue cheese fondue and the grilled rib eye steak. The service and food were excellent. We took half of our dinners home because the portions were very generous. I think the atmosphere could be a little more appealing. The lighting is a little too bright over the tables for my taste. The dining area looks like a big open barn."

"Fantastic! It's been at least a year since I'm over and I'm glad they're still as good as ever. Came early with a friend for breakfast and had: Very Berry Stuffed French Toast BLT...EG house potatoes w/green pepper beef rabbit Everything was great and just as I remember. Beef is homemade and shredded. Both main dishes were unbelievably filled...to share much. Our server, Dee, was very nice and efficient. You still validate the parking space for the 1001 Woodward Garage, so don't forget to ask. A "

"As an appetizer I had what was described as sweet potato fries. It was indeed fried sweet potatoes but they were very greasy and accompanied by incredibly salty fried onions which were deep fried to a point were they tasted like salty paper. The lamb chops were over cooked and not seasoned very well. Overall very disappointing food and in no way resembling French cuisine."
