"Blaze food is delicious. The mango j wings are phenomenal. The mac cheese has the perfect amount of cheese and noodles and it’s not overly salted. The potato salad is not sweet like I’m used to but it was tasty. It was more like mashed potatoes with carrots and corn. I did not like the Blaze pasta it was to sweet but I’ve tasted many of the food dishes here and aside from the pasta everything is good. They give a nice size food portion. During delivery they also call if they sell out of an item."

"I ordered the callaloo and cod fish breakfast. It was delicious and it came on time. My only problem is with the app. It only gives you two options, with dumplings or with bananas. What if I wanted both or other ground provisions? I was able to write it in additional comments and it worked. They gave me dumplings, bananas, sweet potato and pumpkin. Yum!!"

"Everything from the service to the food was exceptional! I placed my order in advanced (4hours prior to pick up) over the phone and the service I received was exquisite. The gentleman was very kind and friendly, despite my complicated order. His personality even made my day better over the phone! When I arrived to pick up my food, the women behind the counter were so very sweet and welcoming. My food was HOT and ready on time. I’m a big fan of Jamaican food and the flavor, textures, and aromas of Green Island food was superb. I was beyond impressed with the entirety of my experience. I greatly look forward to my next meal here!! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant among many in the greater Danbury area! You will not be disappointed!"

"While it was good, it was insanely overpriced for what I got. The empanadas were both good, though the beef one had SO many onions in it I couldnt taste anything else! The pastry on the outside of the empanadas was perfectly flaky and they were nice and warm in the inside. The bacon, egg and cheese one was very good. Please see my picture to understand this now, while the Churro Donuts (yes, they say donutS with an S, as in PLURAL, on the menu though you only get ONE) was arguably one of the absolute most delicious, perfect donuts I had ever tasted in my life, the sheer size of it was almost insulting at $3/piece!!! It was the teeniest, tiniest, little thing ever. The fact that they charge $3 for this is, like I said, almost insulting. Overall, Circle House Coffee was an okay choice for breakfast but not somewhere Ill be rushing back to. Especially not for a total of $30 and Im STILL hungry after ..."

"Everyone knows Golden Krust is below average jamaican food, but the food at this location is barely even edible. Under no circumstances should anyone order oxtail from here. I was starving and love oxtail, the large only comes with about 4 pieces of meat, and I still could not finish it. The flavor is so strange like its seasoned with cilantro. The meat was dry and tough. There is no oxtail gravy, its just oil. The steamed vegetables are also seasoned in a lot of cilantro instead of thyme. The white rice was crispy and unseasoned (i ordered spinach rice but they ignored that)"

"A bit disappointed. My wife and I like golden crust. We've mostly eaten from the Florida spots. This is our first time visiting one in NY. The food was not like it is down south. The rice was hard, the oxtail and the curry goat were off. The taste was just not the same. We're used to consistancy. Everywhere we've gone to before have been almost, if not, the same. We ate in. There was no AC, flies everywhere. We will not be returning to this particular place."

"Flavorful and great value. The jerk chicken was legitimately spicy and delicious. My sister had curried chicken, which was also enjoyable, although not as flavorful as the jerk.. Both came with rice and beans, cooked cabbage, a dumpling (kind of a donut meets biscuit meets hush puppy) and a fried plantain--each component was enjoyable and complemented the chicken well. I can 't say that I 've had much 'island ' food, so I can 't speak to the authenticity--but eating here made me want to try more.<br/ <br/ The 'small ' portion was a ton of food, and for $7.50 for dinner and $5.99 at lunch it is great value. Note that it 's really take-out joint--there are a few booths and small tables, but if you sit there you 'll still get your food in takeout boxes you 'll need to purchase bottled drinks.<br/ <br/ As a bonus, the two ladies working there were very friendly!"

"My family and I bought a few dishes to share family style at home.Our favorite dish was the jerk chicken with cabbage and plantains. It was very delicious. The jerk had the right amount if spice to it. The sauce that comes with it is so tasty that you want to eat it on everything!Second favorite was the Rasta Pasta with Chicken and an Alfredo type of sauce. It was so yummy and almost a tie with the Jerk Chicken dish.We ordered a side of Mac and Cheese that was ok.The oxtail meal was an expensive dish. I believe it was around $27. The oxtails smelled and looked delicious, but unfortunately it had an aftertaste that we could not stomach. We even put the dish in the fridge to try it next day but ended up throwing it away because the aftertaste was too distinct.Overall, we decided we would definitely go back based on how great two of the dishes tasted. Those two dishes are the kind of food you reminicse on and want again and again!"

"Huge Servings of Fresh Hot Food I used to order Jamaican food from Golden Krust all the time before I became vegan, however, I had never actually been to the restaurant until today. The place was clean, and the staff was friendly. I had the plant based beef patty and a side of cabbage. My colleagues had the Brown Stew Chicken and Oxtails and they loved their meals. This place always gives huge servings of food as well. From many prior food deliveries and a visit to the restaurant today, Golden Krust is definitely worth stopping by. Highly Recommended. 5 Stars!"

"I do not try to be negative and certainly hoping my experiences over the years should help the franchise owner to step up their product quality, in terms of the quality l know it is there but only when the product is freshly done and served on a daily basis. My giving my good hard earned money is anticipation of receiving good fresh food and not always stale and overnight left over warmed up and how do you figure we will not know it's not fresh. I usually go early morning near mid day and l happened to try late afternoon and the food was great. I have called even to complain as l get take out, get home not expecting to spend so much money in exchange for bad food. I am Jamaican, and we not about suing but others might if they claim to have gotten sick from eating stale meat, especially chicken even when you brown stew it you can tell its stale. I spoke to the person that works there on the phone she was very polite and offered for me to come back and she could make it right. Lady!! You have no clue, you think l am going to drive so many miles to come back for you to give me fresh food that l should have gotten on my first visit? I can only hope you keep us coming back and the cleanliness was pure awesomeness. This is a easy fix. I suggest you take inventory of your product sales and try to put out a certain amount. So what if the fish is finished, l certainly will order something else with no hesitation because everything is fresh, tasty and palatable. I am not giving up on you. I love that you are...Representing!!!! I know you can get it right. Nuff luv."
