A rich, flavorful soup with tender beef slices, spicy broth, and aromatic spices for a satisfying kick.

"Great Korean BBQ, full and extensive menu, unfortunately the BBQ tables were full so we sat at a table where the food was prepared in the kitchen and brought to us. Quality of food was great, but I prefer to cook my own meat so each person can get the meat as well done or rare as they prefer. Not as extensive variety of banchan as I would like, but the 6 or so offered were all good. Kalbi and oyster jun were very flavorful. I would recommend. The next time we go, I hope to get a table with a BBQ."

"Our dinner was extraordinary! The restaurant is located on Vogel Plaza, at Craterian Theatre, was easy to find. Service was prompt and server polite. But the food... it was the best Asian Pacific Church we had in the Medford region. Not only the food delicious, the portions were huge! My husband had the Teriyaki salmon, perfectly cooked, moist, thick cuts and I had a Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box, with grilled chicken, cut into strips, delicate and full of taste. The pages were perfect. We both loved the rice (not the usual white rice), and especially the tempera, which is slightly coated, crispy and boiled al dente. The Gyoza (cold stickers) were also delicious! We will definitely return to this place!"

"Make sure u clarify your orders with the guy who takes orders by the cashier. I would advise to have him REPEAT your order to make sure he accounts for everything. He has the gall to yell at you if he doesn't get your orders right. I attribute this partly due his arrogance vs language barrier mixed in. Our food experience at this establishment was made sour by our encounter with him. He definitely needs to be counseled on better customer service. We find him rude and off-putting. Food was just ok. There are other good family-owned Vietnamese restaurants who treat their customers better. We'll be taking our business elsewhere moving forward from this experience."

"Amazing as always. This time I got the jjia-jjang mian {black bean sauce noodles with minced pork), pan fried beef bun, cucumbers in spicy garlic sauce, and pork xia long bao (pork soup dumplings). Used to frequent this spot almost everyday when I lived in Costa Mesa. Now, if/when I'm nearby I make sure to go! Sad to see the other locations have all closed now and it's just the Irvine location. If anyone knows why, let me know. I asked and all I got was that the Irvine location was the busiest...ah, well, as long as I can get my grub on at an A&J I'm happy."

"If you do the all you can eat package it was 39.95 per person, prices increasing for bigger parties. Luckily I was just on a date so I got a great amount of food for 90 bucks. Once you start the all you can eat, they put you lower on a priority list, so when you order, order in bulk for the best value, after you order the food takes a bit to get out so it might be good to keep a timer and use the call button if you are waiting more than 25 minutes. After the food gets out grilling takes a few minutes but the servers check up with you fairly frequently, and might assist you in grilling your meet, you can also ask for tips they are knowledgeable about the meat that gets cooked and what not(the call button helps you get refills and stuff faster). The food itself is extremely good, and DEFINITELY try the garlic pork belly. The staple bulgogi there is good as well, it was overall a really fun and enjoyable experience so long as you are watching your time you can get MUCH more meat value than what you pay for and leave very satisfied, remember to try to eat all the side dishes even if you don 't finish the meat"

"Their stone bowl bibimbap is artisan no doubt. I have to say that I love stone bowl bibimbap and I always order this dish in every Korean restaurant and the one at Purple rice is the best I have ever had so far.Where do I even begin?Their rice is perfect. It is soft but still Shen texture. It is neither too soggy nor dry. Just perfect. The stone bowl is heated to the perfect temperature to give the rice a beautiful crust, but not hot enough to burn the rice. Especially the chef used the perfect amount of oil so it does’t taste greasy. There are a variety of veggies. Each kind of veggie is well seasoned and fresh. Look how thinly sliced the carrot is!They offer home made sauce to go with bibimbap. It is well balanced with a hint of sweetness. The texture is fluid but not too watery and therefore can be easily mixed in and not making the whole bowl watery. The beef is thinly slice, soft and not overly oily. Texture is great. Mostly importantly, it is so well seasoned! The side dishes are very delicate, fresh and not too salty. Finally, the ratio of rice to beef to veggies is just perfect perfect perfect.Their bibimbap is officially the #1 bibimbap on my list. I will definitely go back. Hopefully they could maintain this standard every single time."

"I love this place. I've been there twice and now its my go to place for sushi and Korean BBQ. The food is amazing if you're into Korean and Japanese food. The kimchi was great, the steak bibop was amazing, the tuna tartar was soooo good too. I had to drink tea, I think it was barley tea. Then the guy gave us complimentary mochi. I wish I had taken pictures but I just ate everything and forgot about the pictures. Next time I'll take pictures."
