"Danketsu was located near the Waterford Lakes area with a lot of shopping areas all around. It's located in a corner and some trees that covers it so you would have to closely pay attention. So I'm very keen on decor and it was hardly any decor at all. It was a little out of date with the furniture. What I can tell you it reminded me of a Sports Bar instead of restaurant. They have at least 4-5 televisions in there so you're able to watch your games while eating. I was amazed at the prices $28.95 all you can eat and if you wanted to add the hot pot that would have been $31.95 for both which comes with unlimited rice however if you wanted fried rice instead which be a up charge of $2 additional. Now I had a discrepancy about when we were ready to pay my son which is 10 years old only ate chicken and some of the rice paid the same as an adult. I've visited a lot of restaurants all over the world and if it's a price for the child that is what we paid at the end of the night but, this restaurant goes by height which was very weird to me. Please excuse my son that he is growing rapidly and it's not his fault that he is slightly 55 inches . Now I can definitely tell you that they had a lot to choose from both the meat and vegetables bar. They had a limited amount to choose from on the dessert also with ice cream as well if that was your choice of your dessert. I love how the meat was marinated due to sodium not being healthy for you. If they do some updates on the restaurant decor this restaurant would go to a 5 star. We had a great waitress that was so helpful and acknowledgeable."

"The first time I went here, I was on a date. The food was fullfiling and delicious perfect portion. The service was great they made sure we were good. Only 2 rolls so much food. The 2nd time I went, the roll was not even half of what I got the first time. I was with a different person, a family member. I ordered the same thing. Service was not like the 1st time I was disappointed and confused as to how the server didn't know the menu or what I'm asking for. Still, food was good, just not like the first. The 3rd time I was seeking the same roll I ordered the first time. But the person I was with, family ordered 6 rolls. The server had no clue what I was asking for, but they tried. They were diligent with trying yo figure it out. Still food was good. In comparison to the 1st time. I almost feel like there was some type of favoritism with the person(familiar) I was with or something else. I have experienced this same biased behavior at other Asian restaurants that are owned and run by Asian. They go all out for familiar. Is this a cultural thing? Is it just a coincidence? I don't know. I lived in Korea for a year, and food was always delicious, and in abundance, the service was great. but then again, I always had my friends with me, who were Korean, when we went out to eat. I'm definitely going back because of variety and taste. Now I'm on a mission to find the roll I ordered the first time I went and determined to become the familiar that gets that favoritism treatment. Lol It's a positive atmosphere clean. It's not glamed up, but it's clean. Smells great."
