"Amazing. The food and experience were awesome but what got Texas de Brazil a 5 star rating was the staff. Everyone we encountered was just so amazing. From the hostess that greeted us upon arrival to gauchos presenting the meats all the way to the manager that visited our table to see what else could be done to enhance our experience everyone was going out of their way to make this place a cut above. I was even able to observe a waitress standing to the side keeping an eye on her tables take a minute to escort a child all the way to the restroom door rather than just pointing the child in the right direction. KUDOS to all of Texas da Brazil! This was not my first visit to your restaurant and most definitely will nit be mine last. Thank you for a great night!"

"I’ve been to other churrascaria style steakhouses and this one would be at the bottom of my list. This is my first time and definitely my last. Not only was the lamb gamey for my taste but some of the others as well did not taste good, they were either gamey, too salty or lacked seasoning. Also, I wished they had ribeyes and grilled pineapples. Filet Mignon good Bacon wrapped filet mignon good but too well done Picanha ok Spicy picanha ok Parmessan drummettes tasted stale Petite filet Pork ribs either stale or gamey or not well seasoned Flank steak ok Lobster Bisque wasn’t to my liking. Salad bar good selection Sauteed Mushroom more like mushroom gravy (there were 3 mushrooms inside a big pot full of gravy) Potato au Gratin good Fried Bananas either undercooked or not riped enough"

"Texas de Brazil is the biggest name Brazilian steakhouse in SA and the last I 've tried of the rest in town. I was really looking forward to this experience especially on a night like Valentine 's Day! My husband made reservations weeks in advance and luckily there was plenty of availability. they called to confirm his reservation the day before and did advise him if we were 10 minutes late they 'd have to give up our table (such a good tip because we had prior arrangements right before dinner). Also I 'm assuming this only is their rule on busy holidays but I 'm not sure. The entryway is the bar area, hostess stand and small seating area not the best looking area but not awful either. I think I just expected a more grand/tidy/beautiful entry. I will say the prettiest piece of the restaurant is the floral arrangement above the salad bar. There definitely should be more seating in the waiting area considering it 's a popular spot downtown. Our waiter was very attentive and very friendly! He wanted to make sure our first experience was a great one. We definitely got to try all of the meats which was surprising because we haven 't been able to at competitors (not name dropping) so it was nice to get the choice of variety considering that 's what we paid for. My favorite cut of meat here was lamb chops! They 're definitely a bit smaller than other restaurants chops but not lacking on flavor at all!!! Seasoned and cooked to perfection and I was offered 2 servings right away which helped my satiation. Next best meat cut was the beef ribs. Melt in your mouth!! I was a bit disappointed that we weren 't ever asked what kind of cook we wanted for any of our meats. There 's no way every single diner wants the same cook. There 's definitely room for improvement here. Overall I 'm not sure I 'd return, but it was a good experience and I 'm glad to say I 've tried the best of Brazilian steakhouses in SA !"

"Here is the good, The place look nice and clean. Food taste good , salad bar is great. Waitress are very nice but the problem is the guys that bring the meat around , maybe they are under staffed but you have to wait a long time for someone to come around with meats, and when they do, they pick a few tables and leave . I have to ask my waitress a few times for specific meats so my family can eat , if you don't do that you pay 54$ dollar a plate for salad bar. When they first open it was great now the service sucks."

"It was my first time and I enjoyed the over all experience. You start by being sat down, the server asks if it’s your first time and then gives you the “instructions” guidance on getting food and or salad. Then they share the details regarding how the meats are served. Drink orders are gathered and you proceed. Delicious salad bar, and a handful of warm items on the bar. Tasty meat options and the carrot cake was tasty (a tad dry). It is a very fast paced dining experience. The meats are constantly coming out and the gentlemen are quickly walking from the kitchen to the tables to get the hot meats out. Talking about hot meat, the men working in the grill section looked well suited for the job. I was a fan of their costume! Pleated baggy thighs and narrow calves with knee high boots, almost like how Gaston (Beauty and the Beast) wears. Come with a big appetite!"

"We went for Father’s Day so obviously it’s busy. It’s not really all you can eat meat when there’s barely any meat coming to your table. We were sitting for an hour and had about 3 pcs of meat. We understand that it was busy but then people made advance reservations so they should have been aware of the expected guests for that weekend. The meat do not come to your table that often. A friend of mine went the night before and they too had the same horrible experience. They’re stingy and total ripped off for the price. The value of food that I actually ate would have been under $40 for both me and my husband. But I paid $200 tip etc. We got frustrated and just left and will definitely NOT going back to this place. We’ll stick to Fogo de Chão if we are to visit another place like this concept. I’ve been to Fogo a few times… In fairness, our server was really nice and I feel bad that he had to apologize so many times to angry and hungry customers for the incompetence of their Kitchen or executive chef who would have been responsible for the quantification and workflow in the kitchen. Unless their upper management advised them to be stingy and deceive their customers purposely. Please, save your money and go somewhere else. Not worth it. Their sides not even that great. Just go to a regular fine dining restaurant instead if you’re willing to spend that $200 , you’ll have better chances of getting your money’s worth."

She struggled to open a bottle of wine, she spilled it, took forever to check on us so I had an empty cup of coffee for a loooong time and a pile of dirty plates on the table until the manager, we guess, took the pile of plates with him. "The service was terrible. The waitress asked if we had been there before and we said yes. She then proceeded to tell us good that way you know how it goes . She took our drink order and she did not get my wife 's order. She walked away without asking her what she would like to drink. The waitress seemed to disappear for long periods of time and we could see her spending time at the bar chatting with the bartender. The meat servers were more attentive to a large group than the rest of the tables and we were not being offered any of the cuts. The meats they were offering were not all the ones they usually offer. There were only about 5-7 different types. The meat was overcooked even though we were asked at the beginning how we liked our meat cooked and we asked for medium rare to medium. Most of the meats were medium well to well done. The serving of mashed potatoes we got at the beginning was cold. We never got any bread and when we asked the waitress for it, she said they were out and more was being baked. After more than 15 minutes, we saw our waitress come out of the kitchen with a basket of bread and we asked her about ours and she said they were out again but baking more. She put the basket she had down on our table with an attitude. Since we were sitting in front of the door going into the kitchen, we could see the other waiters and waitresses come out with more baskets of bread. We understand it was Father 's Day but we were there after 7 PM. They seemed to be handling the tables OK but our waitress had a bad attitude. Cant say if she was the same with anyone else but we felt she was being that way since we are Hispanic. We ahve been there many times since they opened and it is the first time we were treated badly. We will not return."

"I've been fed to Westlake Texas de Brazil since it opened. I always had a great service and a great meal. If you are new in the restaurant, visit their website to see the available meat. With the exception of lamb chops, all other meats are included in your dinner price. Once sitting, I ask our favorites of flank steak and leg of lamb. The spicy and garlic fillets are also very delicious. Feel free to ask what you want instead of waiting to see what comes from the kitchen. If you are not a fan of medium rare meat, just let the servers know and they take care of you. Take your time at the salad bar and do not fill in salad. Try sampling the various offers on the salad bar and heated foods."

"I gotta be honest. I have been to multiple Brazilian Style steak houses and this one is one of the best. Our server was this very helpful girl from PR who engaged conversation with us in a very friendly manner. She explained a lot of the different foods and gave us tips of how to make them more enjoyable. The cocktails were good but nothing crazy. Now the meat there is great i really think they should take a second look at there chicken even though the tase was great i felt like it was a bit dry. Everything else was great great service, the manager asked us a few times if we needed anything else and it was just a good dinning experience. I will definitely be back."
