"this is a very small sushi dining shop that offers a decent number of inexpensive vegan options, with fast service. this is a counterfeiting place: they order at the counter for taking over, or they can simply take off a seat and wolf after receiving at the switch their food. When I entered, I was a little silly when I saw the sushi cook that treated fish as I was afraid to cross-contamination and ended up with fish-shmeck sushi. So I asked if the sushi manufacturer could change gloves, wash his hands, knife and table, etc. and I was very happy to see them accredited me (and since I watched them all the time, I saw that they did). the vegan sushi is good, and they get good value for their money. There is, however, close to the competition: one of the best vegan restaurants in nyc – beyond sushi – is less than a 10-minute walk from hanabi, and eating at beyond sushi is of course much better. However, if they are in a hurry or on a budget, this place is not bad."
