"So enjoyed your restaurant yesterday! The first time I visited your restaurant, it was for breakfast and it was delish! So I was back for lunch. My friend and I started our Cinco de Mayo afternoon with your mimosas. Then I ordered your Seared Ahi sandwich with a cup of your chicken, veggie and rice soup. My friend had your steak salad and soup. We both really enjoyed our meals. Then we had to try your desserts, so we ordered a lemon Petit four and share a brownie. We were both in the sky looking forward to your way back to try another of your fabulous dishes. Your servers were thrilled! Cheese <3"

"surprise birthday brunch for my mom. our server beth was incredible! mama got floorless mimosa and her glass never went under half. she also made great suggestions. there were also live music! many chatting, everyone was so friendly that different parties have talks about tables! it was wonderful! definitely a weekly return if I can!"

"Like many places in Santa Barbara, Cody’s has had to make adjustments for Covid 19 reasons, and are no longer attached to their sister restaurant on the Mesa , and the menu has slightly changed, along with the prices. But the people are the same, awesomely nice and the drinks are very strong , something that have kept the locals loyal and it won’t disappear like Goleta Coffee across the way. Something the scientists from the reality show Bar Rescue could learn from. The Breakfasts are hearty and used to be a favorite of the working fisherman back in the day . The Californian Benedict, with its perfectly cooked poached egg and tomato and avocado is a known favorite of the local Santa Bar-barbarians and for a slight fee , add those to the Fairfax Benedict I think it’s a wink to Canter’s Deli in LA on Fairfax) which is Smoked Salmon on a bagel, cream cheese,poached egg, Homemade Hollandaise sauce and is served with a choice of potatoes , cottage fries or their perfect hash browns and homemade salsa. I can’t eat like that anymore, so I got the grilled Fresh Salmon that I photographed ,because it looked like a perfect still life painting ! Healthy too ! Sadly, because of the Covid, the price was $20 and with tea and tax , plus a tip ,well, I can’t afford to eat there everyday like I had for the past 20 years. (Maybe when the Covid 19 is over ; prices will go down again The Salads and Hamburgers are just as good as they were decades ago. I especially enjoyed the $13 Gorgonzola Salad with its cheese and mandarins , and for $7 extra , you can add a piece of grilled Chicken or Salmon. Now with outdoor seating, they also have a cozy banquet room and side bar (although I haven’t seen it used much since the Covid and for the same reason, it is no longer open for dinner . ? Sigh , it’s the end of an era in Santa Barbara. But for Breakfast and Lunch it is still one of the best “Local Favorites “ in Goleta."

"I found this place to be amazing! We discovered a restaurant near my husband's doctor's office. We were greeted by friendly servers and enjoyed delicious food. The eggs in my Florentine Benedict were cooked perfectly. My husband satisfied his sweet tooth with the strawberry cake pancakes. It was packed on Mother's Day, but the servers managed their own tables efficiently and seated everyone as quickly as possible. Our food arrived surprisingly fast and was as delicious as ever. We don't mind driving a little out of our way to eat here and will definitely continue to do so. We look forward to trying dinner on their outdoor terrace one day soon. If we could, we would give this place 10 stars!"

"I called in about my order made online, meant to be delivery. But when I got my confirmation it showed pick up. I was told by a lady claiming to be the manager that my order didn?t exist. She confirmed the southside location and continued to claim it wasnot in the system. She was very rude and even after I told her I am sick and didn?t want to get her staff sick she insisted Imust have ordered from somewhere else. So I drive down and the guy behind the glass asked for my name and without hesitationgrabbed my order that was waiting on the counter and handed it over. So my order was there, it could have been delivered but the?manager? did not care about the customer (me) or her staff enough to help out. I am appalled at the treatment from this lady."

"I think I never gave a place 5 stars when I had some critics but I think that this is what makes this place awesome, I’ll explain. We came to the us from Tel Aviv and at the same day of arrival we went to a club and right after accidentally went to this dinner to get the American experience. The place was full with beautiful people and the staff was really nice. We ordered french fries, french toast, crispy bacon, and milkshakes. Everything was so good and delicious. One thing- the milkshakes was too sweet- but it depends on each ones flavour. Eventually we went home satisfied and with a great taste. LGBTQ friendly, prices are great. The place is open 24/7. I’ll recommend to go there after clubbing as we did."

"Let me be clear that I've gone to this diner for over ten years. I feed the waitresses, especially Colleen, who watched me grow up and was nothing but nice and nice to me. Unfortunately, I felt the need to write a review after I have several negative interactions with a man who now sometimes works the front counter (new owner?). I'll never stop bringing my business to Copake Diner, but I hope who this guy is can change his attitude to pay customers. Maybe it's not the right role for him. Again I love you Colleen and all the incredible waiters I hope Dads can go back to be the warm, friendly place I remember from my childhood."

"Great atmosphere and true Homestyle Restraunt feel. When you first step theru the door you feel at home. The hospitality is grade A and the service was awesome as well. Prices were as expected not bad at all. The specials should be a little cheaper considering they are specials however the prices were great. The food was great also I can say the special stew beef and rice was a bit bland and could 've use some kind of zing. Tasted ok and I was satisfied with the food. "These guys are so nice. I figured out what I like from here and it's a good consistent value, fast. I'm in the vicinity so I order by phone and pick it up myself. I love the fries here, they are the thinner kind and they don't have all that extra crispy starchy stuff many other places have on the fries. Good eats!"

"The server was friendly. I had buffalo hit wings, salad, and lasagna. The wings were crispy and good, but to me hot was more mild. The lasagna was a cheese only with a meetball on the side, the lasagna was really good but I personally didn't like the sauce as much. It was served with a nice size salad and fresh (not toasted or grilled) Italian bread. The food was hot. It gave me the impression it was fresh from the oven. I will definitely order eat there again. The amount of food per the cost was a nice portion."

"Visited at least half a dozen times and visited me every time. Great and friendly staff. Coffee comes in super sweet little carafe, so you always have the opportunity to fill again. Food is delicious! Very recommend their shrimps and grits, feta and spinish omelett, their chicks are amazing as I have tried 3 different. Light and fluffy pancakes and melt cookies in the mouth! I live about 30 minutes away and always look forward to my next return."

"I love this place. I grew up on this food here. I have been living in Ohio for a while now and crave this food all of the time. We were in town and sad to see that it was carry out only since we didn't really have a place to go with it. But they recognized me from back in the day and allowed us to sit there to eat with our take out. It was the Sweetest thing!! And the food might even be better than what I remembered! I got my daughters to try it and have had them change their minds about it. They loved it! I am so glad a gem like this has been able to keep going after all of these years and challenges."
