"We opted to try a deli that was not commercialized/overridden with Instagrammers! And boy are we happy with that! Liebmans is on the outskirts of the Bronx! A very nice little neighborhood, a bit of a drive of course out of New York City but well worth it. The smoked salmon is the best I have ever tasted! Kind of like a nova lox. It is so fresh, sweet, salty but mild. There was a lot of fattiness to the salmon which made it even tastier! Their sides are to die for as well, the potato salad was so masterfully seasoned. And onto their deli sandwich, stacked so high with nicely sliced pieces of pastrami! And they gave some delicious homemade mustard too. Great service, friendly staff, and felt very much like eating at home. Such a comfortable and inviting environment. So many locals you can see coming here, elderly ones that know exactly this is the place to be if you want a satisfaction guaranteed meal! Can’t wait till the borders open again so that I can drive here from Canada!"
