"A group of 5 foodies, we love Chan and love the food. We basically order every item on the menu and share. It was delicious and tummy filling. Though this experience our waitress was a little awkward. We felt like she was shaming our friend for not drinking, she asked for a ginger beer... and the waitress in a very judgy tone said, non-alcoholic... almost with a sign on the end. It didn't make sense and we were turned off the rest of the evening. Not saying she was not kind, but for the amount of food we ordered I was very turned off by how she took care of us. But... I would still come back and I would still eat everything on the menu!"

"The food was decent and the staff was polite, but honestly the whole experience was somehow...meh. Most secondary dishes (banchan) were simple and very simple, the entree was on the smaller side and I didn't think there was much taste, and there was not much variety with the banana. All in all, it was okay. I don't regret eating here, but I don't see myself coming back either. I was a little taken back when the cargo for another bowl of rice was $2, not that I expected no fee, but I didn't think it was so much. It was about (maybe) half a cup of rice serving every serving."

"This was a miss for me. I love Korean food and I was really excited to check Mokja out. The apps were good and probably where we should have stopped. The cucumber salad wasn't anything exciting but the ingredients were fresh and had a nice crunch. I would advise skipping the truffle edamame dumplings. The wings had the great crunch that everyone loves when it comes to Korean wings, but the hot wings were almost inedible and it ruined my palette to truly enjoy the rest of the apps that were in front of us. The ssam lettuce wraps were the best part of the meal but even those were not worth the price point, in my opinion. Now on to the main courses, I got the bulgolgi and the meat was tender but a little too sweet and there was so much oil in the dish that it left a film in my mouth. My husband got the ramen yaki, which was fine (spicy pork is the way to go) but again nothing to get excited about. Overall review, I was left disappointed and not eager to come back knowing that there are other great offerings right around the corner."

"Our experience at Perilla was warm and welcoming. We were from out of town and did not have a reservation. Thomas let us know there were no tables with grills, however he did have an available table without a grill. This worked for us because we are vegetarians. "Ate there twice this week (actually went to Tyson's the 2. Just like I could have more mixing bowl! The food is served like a chipotle, Korean style, with meat and vegetable options in a bowl. The spicy pig, the Kimchi and the spiced radishes are particularly delicious. I am sure that people who understand genuine Korean cuisine would challenge authenticity, but for a delicious, healthy, fast lunch I thought it was wonderful and little different than usual. Service was also excellent and the staff very helpful and pleasant. I think I might have to go back next week, although I usually find Tyson's mouth pretty stressful!"
