"I 've been to Carter 's Landing a number of times since it opened. At the beginning, the service was fantastic with the staff being very energetic and going out of their way to make the experience wonderful. The menu was extensive and creative and the food was served hot and delicious. I went last Fall around Thanksgiving and was not at all impressed with the service. The place was very quiet with few diners. Rather than seat the guests in one of the dining areas the staff had us seated all over. With a small staff they couldn 't look after the guests properly. Service was extremely slow, food was delivered cold and was all around a very poor dining experience. I said I wouldn 't go back. Well, I was looking for a place for brunch and saw this available so decided to try it again. There was no mention of a buffet only and the website only showed a brunch menu. As my last visit, the service was horrible. We ordered coffee to begin and when it was brought about 5 or more minutes later, the server didn 't bring milk and cream, even after asking if we wanted those when we ordered the coffees. Then, a few minutes later she only brought 2 milks and 2 creamers. It was the same for our refills! The buffet at $22 a person was sparse. The 'kid ' making the omelets, crepes and waffles seemed well out of his element. Omelets were stuck to the pan, over cooked and only one at a time. Not much better on the crepes. The rest of the buffet, which consisted of 3 trays of hot items and a small table of cheese, fruit and deserts was not enough. Hot items were cold and uninspiring. It 's sad that Carter 's Landing seems to be so mismanaged because the location is absolutely perfect and begging for a place like this should be, but the bad management, poor service and lack of food quality is going to spell the end of this place which should be absolutely thriving! It 's sad actually!"

"Disappointing! I’ve been coming to Vegas for 15 years and enjoyed many wonderful celebrity chef dining experiences. Happy to pay for service, ambience and flavor. I felt regret as I signed my bill. Service was 4 out of 5. As soon as we sat down, we received excellent attention by 2 waitstaff working in tandem. It would’ve been a 5 out of 5 if drink service had been more prompt. We ordered a second round of drinks as the entrées were delivered and these drinks showed up after we had completed our meals. Decor is modern and swanky but slightly nondescript. Wait staff dressed in chic black. I felt slightly uncomfortable for the young women wearing short skirts that did not fit properly. I’m all for beautiful women wearing beautiful clothes but these women were wearing clothes that were too small for them in my opinion because there was lots of fidgeting to ensure skirts did not ride up further while walking thru the dining area or making cocktails. Instead of giving off an effortless sexy vibe, it felt awkward and made me feel uncomfortable for them. The pork belly appetizer was the best item of the evening. Apple salad and Bibb lettuce salad both felt below average in taste and presentation. American Wagyu filets we’re ordered by all and steaks were cooked to the correct doneness. Carrots were disappointing and hard to chew. The flavor of the steak and all the sauces that we tried were below average. In the last 18 months I’ve been to Gaucho Parilla Argentina in Pittsburgh, KanePrime in Nashville, Gibson in Chicago, and St Elmo’s in Indianapolis so I have some spoiled tastebuds. Cut by Wolfgang Puck is not even in the same class. For excellent Steak in Vegas my go to is the Golden Steer. But in my opinion, the best food scene is Nashville."

Juice Junkies

"Juice Junkies is essentially a healthy fast food joint. It's a juice bar in which most of the juices are pre-juiced, so they aren't all made-to-order fresh, but it seems they're reasonably fresh. An exception is the smoothies, which are made to order. They also sell about a dozen or so pre-made snacks, mostly raw. I had the sun dried tomato hummus, which was tasty, though the serving size is small, so it's basically a $7 appetizer. My smoothie was refreshing on a hot day, but had the consistency of a slurpee, which isn't really my speed (i prefer smoothies made from fresh, unfrozen produce and served at room-temperature, which is better for the body than cold). Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was cheerful, with good music at a comfortable volume. Unfortunately, one negative consequence of the fast-food formula is that all of their items (drinks and snacks) are packaged in plastic. There's a sign suggesting that customers need not worry because they use biodegradable plastics, but the fact is that those starch-based plastics don't actually biodegrade in real life unless they come into prolonged contact with the elements, which never happens in landfills, so one must throw them in a compost pile to assure that they actually do biodegrade. Bio-plastics also require just as much energy to produce as petro-plastics, so in truth one can't regard these plastics as harmless. They are OK as a semi-eco-friendly option for take-away, but i wish Juice Junkies would offer non-packaged foods for those who chose to eat there instead of taking out. Bottom line: If you're looking for a quick juice, smoothie, and/or snack, then Juice Junkies is certainly one of the better options in town, but for food there are fresher and more eco-friendly vegan options.
