"We recently had dinner late on a Sunday evening at the Forbes Tavern. We had never been there before. The atmosphere was cozy. There was one other table with two guys in the whole place. We were starving, and quickly overlooked the fact that every table appeared dirty. Not terribly dirty, just dirty.The server was friendly and helpful, and the menu was pretty simple. It was very hot outside so the two of us ordered lemonade and ice water. I ordered the smoked chicken wings (also grilled) and Cajun French fries. The food came out pretty quickly.The chicken wings were fantastic, but the fries were so spicy hot that we couldn't even eat them. We drank all of our drinks very quickly, and the server never refilled them. Sure we could've asked for more, but with one table eating, the server could be diligent and take care of that.All in all, we might return but it wouldn't be our first choice."
