"I had made a reservation for my brothers birthday with the parents and his wife. Our server didn’t mention anything about it. The service was very slow. It took a crazy long time to get our drinks and our server, while nice, didn’t check on us very often. We had wanted more drinks and dessert and that took a minute and then when ready for the check we waited almost 30 minutes. At this point the restaurant was pretty empty so I’m not sure what was going on. The menu offerings were very limited and very few veggie or fish options (no salmon, shrimp, pasta, etc). There was a very bright light above the table that was blinding. The manager turned it down a bit but it was still very distracting. It gave me quite a headache. The food overall was cooked well and tasted good. The cocktails and wine were also good. I expected a little more overall for the price."

"A completely dishonest 5-star rating! The food was amazing for all 4 of us who met for brunch. The cocktails were on site and the service was friendly and competent. I had the Corned Beef Hash that was as far from the normal Diner version as you can imagine. The picture shows more, but these were large pieces of fresh corned beef, potatoes and vegetables, with perfectly fried eggs on the side. I also asked for Hollandaise sauce on the side, and I highly recommend that it creamy, perfectly seasoned, and delicious! The hash was tastier when the image can convey. My wife had no joke about the old Grains salad, which was presented on the plate as an art piece, see the picture! For vegetarians this is a heavenly dish, and for those who are not, it is definitely worth trying. We also had several cocktails, including the Blueberry mule, the Moimosa and the Irish coffee. Trust me when I say that everything you order will be amazing. You need to make reservations to come, believe me, do it and experience this place. It's fantastic! We come back and try some other articles."

"First of all, the house dressing? UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. And I’ve never eaten anything from this place that wasn’t delicious (and I’ve been going for 10+ years). But I’m writing this review because of how well they handled my partner’s allergy. We often have problems when placing orders because we emphasize that he has an allergy to milk (not lactose intolerance, an actual allergy), and when we get they meal, 70% of the time they still gave us the milk/cheese. I wish I got her name, but the woman on the phone was so knowledgeable about the ingredients used and took so much care with double making sure with the cook in the back for what he used when we arrived to pick up the order. "As a previous review stated the best place is the bar area for dinner. It just has more energy! Service was excellent! Relatively expensive… they are very proud of their wine selection. Nice assortment of after dinner aperitif’s. I had the rib eye which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My colleague had the filet which was also perfect. I would come back and try some other menu items."

"The calamari was great with the garlic aioli. I had the Find Me In the Club sandwich it could of used more spice but was still good and my husband had the mushroom burger and it was cooked perfectly. The creme brulee was a little over done but it's creme brulee so I'll try it again. We will be back soon."

"This restaurant has become mine and my husband's favorite! Everytime we come we are welcomed by a friendly host, never a long wait, and the food is delectable! Pictured Is their roast duck breast entree. This is a great place for a date night, they serve a wonderful brunch, and the ambiance is sweet and inviting with a roaring gas fireplace to add a little warmth. This is a restaurant worth visiting!"

"My recent visit to Roggies for lunch on a Sunday was a pleasant experience. With only four people in the restaurant, the service was excellent. Located near Boston College, Roggies is a sports bar so we didn't have high expectations for a fine dining experience, but we were not disappointed. While the appetizer platter was bland, the Lobster Roll and Pastrami Burger entrees were surprisingly tasty. The breakfast entrees also looked appealing. It's worth noting that Roggies is a college bar with a slight stale beer odor and unstable chairs, so it may not be ideal for a family outing. However, their pizza takeaway option is delicious and worth considering."

"My boyfriend and I went to Scargo for his birthday last weekend and it was amazing!!! The food was incredible and our waiter, Jeff, was so wonderful. They were super attentive to my bf's gluten allergy, which is very rare to find at restaurants. I can not recommend Scargo highly enough!!!"

"The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our server was polite and knowledgeable. The service was timely. Our food was yummy The Chefs special dish was well worth the surprise I found the table to be very uncomfortable, the leaf angled down and wasn’t even with the table. It felt as though everything was falling forward onto my lap. Overall a good place and nice experience"

"I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite calling ahead to let them know I would be arriving 15 minutes early at 4:15 instead of 4:30, there was no one outside to greet us and our table was not set. The server didn't take our drink order or greet us until we had been sitting there for five minutes. When we are spending a significant amount of money on a company dinner, we expect better service. The person who answered the phone was helpful and said there would be no issue, but upon arrival, it was clear that the staff was not prepared to open. This was on a Friday night, and I believe they can do better."

"Wonderful experience here on New Years Eve! The atmosphere was excellent, very laid back and enjoyable. We had the Oscar filet and lobster ravioli, both of which were incredible and we will be ordering again. But the real highlight of our night was our server Adam. He really went above and beyond to make sure that our whole dining experience was a 10/10! His prompt attention to our every need, as well as his positive attitude and professional demeanor will definitely have us coming back soon!!!"

"I have my twins here for breakfast for their 21st. Birthday made. They asked to celebrate Mimosas, and they got them!! The Omelettes were amazing and knowing that I have now found somewhere that I can get chorizo in them, this facility has now placed on my breakfast list! I even ordered one side of the sausage Gravy to defeat my omelet and I am so glad that I did it! The taste was perfect. The girls also loved their chocolate chip pancakes! For the Mimosas, you can fly and choose 4 flavors for $14 or single glasses of Mimosas running $6. The blackberry, strawberry and watermelon were amazing. Believe me, I will be back to try more flavors!! Service was very friendly and fast. Thank you for helping me by being part of my girl 21. Birthday!"

"There were 9 of us for a birthday party. We sat at a large table on a private deck overlooking the beach and the sea. It could not have been better than the sun set and moon rose. Dena was our dedicated server and was top notch. General drinks and great seafood and steaks were perfectly prepared and delicious. A good selection of deserts has been provided. The check was comparable to fine food in a metro area, but a bit pricy for Maine. A great experience as a whole."
