"We had a family dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse following welcoming out of town guests for the weekend. The service we received from the manager, Jen, was absolutely horrible. Not only was she curt, rude, and abrasive with us as we tried to make a reservation but she was like that with every single other party that walked in. Multiple parties were sat ahead of us, which was fine but as we tried to explain the situation and what we were asking for she cut me off several times, spoke over me, and was extremely condescending. One of the other servers, Danielle S., overheard what was going on and offered to put us in her section so we would be sure to get great service. Boy did we! She was amazing! When my husband found a piece of metal in his steak, the manager, Jen, told him it was fine just from the grill brush (it was not). She eventually comped the meal, but not without the same glowing attitude she had all night. Danielle S. on the other hand apologized profusely and asked us if she could do anything to make it right. We had a great dining experience with Danielle S., but if it had not been for her we would have for sure turned right back around and walked out to find somewhere else for dinner based solely on our interactions with the manager, Jen. We understand that everyone has bad days, and usually the misguided behaviors of someone are a direct reflection of their own internal battles but if you are having that hard of a day, it might be best to allow your very capable staff to handle the customer interactions until you can better manage your emotions to be a good representation for your employer."

"5 stars for eating! 0 stars for service! where do I start? my friend and I (the server are decided to go and spend a decent amount of money on steak and garnel. we chose longhorn because we love longhorn. we went in and we were immediately greeted and sat at our table by a pleasant young man. once we started looking at weeping and getting really excited. our server kayla b finally arrived (after a few minutes sitting there with a posture. She never imagined herself. she didn't welcome us. To be honest, we felt like we didn't touch them by sitting in their section. they looked at us because we look young and said what they want to drink. had not offered any alcohol or something. my friend ordered a water with lemon. I ordered a sweet tee. she went away, she didn't offer us any appetizers. When she came back with our drinks, she put her on the table and rushed away, and she brought me unpunished tee. we couldn't find her to tell her. our menus sat at the end of the table for 15 minutes before another server stopped and asked us if we were ready to order. we said yes, and she rolled her eyes as if she had to say this server that she already served her tables. a few minutes back by and kayla b come on the table and says "what would they like to eat? . I'm not sorry for the waiting period. Not that they like an appetizer that is nothing more friendly. we said we wanted the stuffed mushrooms for a starter. then we ordered our meals. she dropped our salate and ran, we didn't see her again. my friend steak was rare when he asked for medium. no great power we asked the runner to cook him. but not seen our server. the manager brought the rekook and was very nice. I haven't seen the server yet. 15 minutes after eating, the same server that asked if we were willing to order us when we needed the leak and brought us the leak. then kayla took our card ran and said a nice day. I am a server. I'm guessing no matter what. I didn't tip this girl. I thought to tip the 3.5% that they had to tip out all who helped her, but she deserved to tap her. if I saw that one of my employees fails so badly, I would be destroyed. not that she asked, but our meals were amazing, and sader day for them because I knew I would spend $100. our bill was $67, so that $33 would have been different, she would have treated us like human. we dined in 7/5/2022 and sat on table 31."
