"The atmosphere is asian bistro with energetic music that doesn't overwhelm conversations. The menu has excellent variety and the vegetarian section, I understood, is actually vegan (no egg or dairy). My Ma Po Tofu was silky soft and wonderfully seasoned, though it could have had chopped mushrooms and more Sichuan peppercorn for my tastes. Staff was attentive and friendly in an absolute mess of a crowd plus takeout. This place is a gem, even with Boston prices.Vegetarian options: They are careful to avoid any animal products in their vegetarian section; meaning no pork to season the Sichuan green beans, or ground beef in the Ma Po Tofu. They might also be able to make some noodle dishes vegetarian, or even vegan, but they don't discount for skipping the most expensive ingredient you have them drop... the meat."
