"We have tried takeout several times from Taste of Beijing. We’ve appreciated their direct online ordering through their website, which doesn’t include any upcharges like ordering through GrubHub or similar sites often does. For Covid precautions, they have plastic sheeting dividing the counter from the rest of the restaurant, and handle food and payment through slits in the plastic. They have signs up encouraging wearing masks as well (though the staff haven’t always been wearing them). The food itself is fairly good. One favorite is chicken and rice soup for two. It's chicken and rice in broth, simple, but you get a whole pint for under $6 and comes with tasty wontons as well. You can make it a meal and it's a great value. The Peking duck rolls are good: shredded Peking duck and lettuce in rolled flour tortillas with plum dipping sauce. A nice snack, not quite worth $6.50, but nice if you want a bit of Peking duck without the full production. The steamed pork dumplings were fairly good and standard, with the right proportion of meat and dough, and the usual soy sauce dip. Shanghai noodles provided a good showing. They were very flavorful and not too greasy. These were more spicy than most places we've tried, just shy of being too hot for Mr. Cuddles. We’ve tried the triple delight and sesame chicken. Both were tasty and about as expected. The sesame chicken had a good proportion of broccoli to chicken. This is a reasonably priced Chinese restaurant and we’ll likely be back again many more times. Give them a try!"

"I have to laugh about reviews of overcooked chicken/shrimp. I started going to this place because I loved their Kung Pao Shrimp. Last two times I was there the shrimp were practically raw and very fishy tasting. I thought the first time my order was bad it was just an honest error....after second time I won't be going back."

"The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered a chicken and a beef lo mein (noodles) to try out the place. The large portion was about $9, and could feed 2 people if you don?t eat a lot, or if you?re not very hungry. I loved that this place has an acrylic shield along the counter with a PA system, so it makes you feel like they went the extra mile to provide a great customer experience. The young man who took our order spoke perfect English, which I feel is a plus, knowing that you?ll get what you?re ordering. Also the place is clean, their floor was spotless, which makes me a feel good about eating somewhere new. I?ll definitely be coming back for more. Giving it 4 stars because I thought the beef lo mein shoul?ve come with more, and bigger cuts of beef."

"Eating here can be a hit or miss at times. My experiences have been generally good but a few times they forgot a part of my order (I later found out after walking all the way back to my dorm room) or on one day they used spaghetti for their lo mein then switched back on a subsequent visit. I've worked at a Chinese restaurant myself while out of school so I have a bit of experience on the business. Not the best Chinese takeout I've ever had, but it hits the spot when I have a hankering for something sweet and spicy. The prices are good, but the restaurant itself could be cleaner. If you want some cheap quick Chinese food for a good price, this is your place."

"my wife and I lived in Bay View, and the nearby Chinese food was missing. we tried this place for the first time about eight years ago and the meal times are consistently delicious. then we moved in the ground next door (without recognizing it), so that there can be a bit pretension. orderings are in the regular fast and accurate, although in the last six years or so we have done quite just to carry. I appreciate the walkable barrier during the covid times. I say this is not a big fan of her crab jail, but her other dishes are solid, so that's not a deal breaker."

"I ordered 3 quarts of chow mein and 1 quart of fried rice. They packed all of food in one bag. The bottom 2 trays of chow mein leaked because of the weight of the items on top of them. There was a mess everywhere. The fried rice was ok. The chow mein was horrible. The celery was half cooked. It had no flavor. The taste was nonexistent. I gave it one star but if I could have I would give it negative stars."

"let me begin by saying I have been here and late for many years, the food quality going and the prices rising. the proportions have also become smaller, since the quality has decreased. but in all my years I've never got food that's spoiled when ordering take-out. from the moment when I opened the rice container, I smelled the fetid acidic smell of foods that have gone bad. I thought maybe I'm just sensitive and I took a bite, bad idea to take some of the means of life that smells so bad. but yes, my taste buds agreed with my opinion that something was amiss. I'm not sure what went wrong, but it did and the fried rice was spoiled. the general gao huhn also had a funny taste and a piece had a very funny taste. the lo mine was simply tasteless. the restaurant has credited the dishes I returned and offered a gift certificate to use at a later time. So, really disappointed in this experience and would not come back soon. I was told no one complained about the rice, although they had many orders. I think how many people stinking spoiled rice got and hopefully nobody gets sick."

"Food seemed to be really good quality and fresh. Prices were reasonable and service was really fast. As I sat and ate, they went through lots of customers but were quick to pack the food and get the line moving. You definitely get your money's worth here. Great place for a quick, delicious bite. Oh and the chow fun was perfect! I don't see it too often as an option at comparable restaurants, but they knocked it out of the ballpark."

"I order from here quite often, and it's rare that I'm disappointed! I usually evaluate a Chinese restaurant based on their beef and broccoli, egg drop soup, General Tso's chicken, house special mai fun, and sweet and sour chicken. I give this place a solid 4 out of 5, although their sweet and sour chicken is lacking a bit. However, the rest of the menu is quite good and satisfies my cravings when I'm in a hurry. The staff are polite and helpful in explaining the menu items and portion sizes, and I've never had an issue with my food being undercooked or overcooked."
"I've been coming here for years. Their food is great compared to all the other Chinese places in the area. And there's quite a few. If you're looking for a Chinese spot look no further! Just come here. You won't be disappointed. Start out with a lunch special before 3:00 p.m. It's just about the same size as a combination platter, but cheaper."
