"I’ve been familiar with the east side of Saint Paul and to see that this recommended place off Payne was here for me thinking.. why here? It’s a terrible area. But I will say, the vegan experience was wonderful. The server was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and when she was not sure of something, she quickly checked on it for an answer. I got a mix of things to try and did the blueberry teaser, vegan ramen, roasted cauliflower, heirloom tomato burrata salad, and for desert a dark chocolate truffle with walnut crumbles. All of these items were absolutely terrific! Each item had its own unique flavor profiles that complimented what it was prepared with. I have not been impressed with cauliflower dishes yet and this one was very tasty. It was spicy, yet savory as well. The salad, the dressing was so delicious, not that greasy oily taste you get with most non-ranch dressings. The teaser, the way it was done, and presented, the whole experience of it all was fun. It made it taste better. The ramen was a very tasty dish that brought me to a scrumptious zone of wtf. VERY good!! The tofu was a bit salty, but I was into it because I felt it took the edge off some of the spice. To me, it worked really well. The staff really took the time to present themselves with the utmost professionalism while keeping the hospitality feel up top as well. It was great. They just have the crappy area to compete with. While we were eating, we saw a guy get out of his car and walk to the middle of the street and pull his [censored] and testicles out to itch them. It was funny, but I can see how this would affect business on top of the location. Even with that I WOULD STILL GO BACK. It was so very very yummy. Oh and if you bring someone who isn’t vegan, my wife had chicken and waffles and she said they were some of the best she’s ever had."

"I have been waiting forever to come here so I had high hopes since this place was hyped up for a long time after it opened. Sadly, it did not live up to the hype for me. We made reservations for 5pm and I had requested a quieter table if possible for my hearing impaired husband who doesn’t do well with a lot of background noise. We always understand if that’s not possible. However, the place was empty and we were sat at a 2 seater right near the kitchen where all of the employees gathered right behind us and chatted away. And, who wants to be right by the kitchen?? We ordered the pork bun appetizer. Delish! Solid dish. For entree’s we ordered the ribeye and the scallops. When one orders a ribeye they don’t expect a 1” thin slice of meat. You want a hunk of deliciousness. And since it was so thin it was a bit over cooked (asked for medium rare). The flavor was good though. The purée it sat on was fantastic! But so little of it. The scallopswhat a disaster. Two were crunchy withsand?? One entirely inedible. They cooked one single new one and brought it to us. It was crunchy too. I mean break your teeth crystals of I dunno what. We just shut up at that point realizing it’s not going to get any better. For dessert we ordered the monkey bread. It was tasty! But not much monkey bread compared to topping ice cream and whipped cream. Service was fine. No complaints there. A nice gentleman waited on us. All in all, not worth $200. Photo of the only yummy optimistic part of the meal. Everything went downhill after."
