"Sardi’s is one of my most cherished theater district dining institutions. It must remain for as long as there is a Broadway. I have dined there before and after events since I was a child. The quality of the food has gone up and down over the years, but generally it’s never fallen too far. And if you stick to their best known dishes, you really can’t go wrong. I visited again last night and was pleased that the service remains genial and cordial and attentive. So many restaurants seem to forget that just checking in is appreciated. But even when the place was packed at the dinner hour, I still got the usual royal treatment. Thank you Sardi’s. Long may you wave."
