"The Library was created and established by Steven Kuinius and Gary Paterno. Their close friend Pete Dowley was instrumental in designing The Library. First opening it's doors on February 18, 1993, within weeks it became an LA landmark and was closely replicated in the set of the TV show Friends. The Library was where people first met or went on first dates, where they came to meet new and old friends and where they came to listen to great music both live and recorded. It was a magical time and all was well with the world during this time just prior to the internet changing the socializing and gathering habits of people."
