"My wife and I like to try different restaurants and we had never been to Allgauer's so we decided to give it a try. We made an afternoon reservation for lunch at Allgauer's for 1pm. At some point I tried rescheduling for 1:30 through the app but with no success. I then called the restaurant but I kept getting the answering machine. I left a couple of messages letting them know that I wanted to change my reservation. I even left a number for them to call me back to let me know they got the message. Never got a reply. My wife and I decided to just go. But when we got there they were closed. According to their hours of operation, they didn't have a lunch service. Why wasn't this noted in the app? Why was I able to get a notification from Allgauer's accepting my reservation if they didn't have lunch service that day? Very disappointed."

"I brought my daughter here for a light lunch before shopping and was pleased from the moment we walked in. Immediately greeted and seated by a lovely hostess, the atmosphere was casual but in an updated way, our waitress was fantastic (attentive and spot on with recommendations), and the food was deliciously unique. My daughter thought there was too much sauce on the kids pasta, but was psyched to get a full size glass for her Shirley Temple! I also noticed that other staff did not hesitate to step in with a helping hand when needed."

"Had the unfortunate experience of dining at the Cornerstone. The waitstaff was rude. The food lukewarm and over priced. If you question ingredients in entree you are answered in condescending tone. This restaurant is in Aspinwall not NYC. If you want single checks 30% charge. Bring cash if you don't want to pay the 3% credit card charge where the cost of doing business is passed onto the consumer.No parking. I believe only locals who are close would dine here."

"Best place for dinner in Bedstuy!! The food is fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The collard greens are some of the best I’ve ever had, and the sweet potato cheesecake is so delicious and fluffy. This is an absolute gem in the neighborhood! "I ordered fried whiting with mac and cheese. The breading was falling off the fish and the mac and cheese lacked flavor. I called and spoke to the manager who told me my platter will be replaced. I went to pick up the the entree. It was the same with the fish, sweet potaoes was like someone peeled and sliced big chunks and put in the platter, the mac and chesses was still horriable. As a southern cooker myself this food was far from soul food."

"No complaints, Allyssa was our server and was quick to pick up our orders. There weren't too many people in there, so there was room to distance. The food was delicious. It's good to stumble on it. Would you like to have happy hour food items too, but the entire menu gives you a number of options. Advertise the Southwest Chipotle Wrap with frits and bruise sputs. Friend had the 10 wings half buffalo half parmesan and sweet potato saucers."

"My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The food lacked any flavor and the steaks were undercooked with a burnt crust. Additionally, there was a long wait for the main entree, even when the restaurant was not busy. Canned vegetables in the risotto were completely unacceptable. The restrooms were in poor condition with old dryers and frequently out of paper towels. The interior was outdated and in desperate need of renovation. The prices for the food and wine were outrageously high, with much better quality and lower prices available at other steakhouses. Overall, I would not recommend dining at this establishment."
