"I made a reservation for 7 people to eat at Barons. We arrived on time and were seated in THE WELL bar . Asked for Salmon and was told I can't order that on there side. Asked to be moved so we can order what we wanted and was told sorry. My son and husband wanted the Porter house dinner but settled for hamburgers. I asked for vegies instead of rice and told no, can't do that. We all were very unhappy about our meals !"

"I had the Duck and it was amazing, I could eat just the sauce alone! My wife had the 3 course meal with some minor substitutes that were easily adjusted. The mashed potatoes and spinach were very good, but the steak underwhelmed in overall flavor; The preparation of it was very good though. I also order a side of the crab Mac-N-cheese, by far the best I’ve ever had from any fine dining experience! The waitress was also very nice and accommodated all of our requests, including a hand written note for my wife’s anniversary dessert!"

"I took my roommate here for the 35th birthday dinner. I reserved a table in advance. at the arrival we waited a short time to have a table for us. the interieur is well designed and seemed to be a quiet evening for Thursday. we received free champagner for a birthday reservation. we ordered a total of 4 beverages, 4 pages (dressing rooms, pommes, kartoffeln, mais,) 1 a5 wagyu, 1 wagyu spinalis, the mango-Fondsido, deviled eggs and foam water. everything tasted great and had no complaints; the tellers were clean when we were gone. the service was great. I would recommend this place to others."

"In any case, call to get a reservation. A few months ago I tried to take a walk and was quoted a 90-minute waiting period, although less than half of the dining room was filled. I called and made a reservation this time and was quoted to wait 90 minutes. My server (Christie) was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the 6oz Sirloin wrapped with bacon asparagus, along with the Butternuss quesen/iron/bean soup and house salad. Fry bread was very fat I never had it before, but I didn't plan it as fat as it was. The soup was all right, it was very sweet and the Butternuss-Quark made up everything else. The steak was perfectly cooked. I expected more than three stems of asparagus, but it was still delicious. You will get a 5 for the presentation of everything very nicely plated."

"Absolutely wowed by this place! The octopus was a bit salty, and didn’t have the visual aesthetics of your standard tentacle dish. But…the pork kan kan made up for any deficiency! That dish was absolutely delicious! The setting was what I’d consider “city intimate”…definitely more “date night” than “friend gathering”. We’ll definitely return!"

"The kitchen was frozen and could not keep up with orders. We waited 80 minutes for our food, as did other guests. Had our reservation not been at 8PM with few other restaurant options nearby, I would have walked out. The complimentary desserts were not adequate compensation for the experience."

"the valentinstag on prime 13 was a wonderful experience. the only thing that was easy (for me) was the ambiente not entirely what I expected. although it was good. eating and service more than for them. I have the delmonico steak and it was cooked to perfection. while my wife enjoyed surfing and shaking. I tried a bite of her filet and let me tell them it was not disappointed. we had also divided a order of panmarroten scallops, which was a special and different prepared than they usually do and I can not believe how good they were! these scalops were one of the best things my wife and I ever had! we stayed happy and full. the place is byob, which fortunately they sent me a confirmation text a few hours before and they mentioned that in the message. all in all a great meal and at night!"

"We went to Garrison for our anniversary dinner and it surpassed my expectations. The food, service and ambiance were impeccable. Our server was awesome and made sure we had the best experience. The hostess was sweet enough to take our picture and wished us a happy anniversary. This may seem small, but I can’t count how many times I’ve made reservations at high end restaurants and notated that we were celebrating a special even and it went unacknowledged. When we got to the table, they had special menus wishing us a happy anniversary and even gave us a complimentary glass of bubbly, which was very thoughtful. We started off dinner with the Parker house rolls, which were amazing. I had to stop myself from eating all of them. I would highly recommend getting them. For dinner, I got the grilled Texas Quail and my husband got the Wagyu steak. My quail was delicious and very filling, but the wagyu steak was out of this world. We had the tater tots with arrayed Gruyère cheese and black truffles. OMG was this delicious. I was so full at this point, but we still ordered dessert. We shared the bourbon desert and that was also delicious. Overall I would highly recommend Garrison. The whole experience was exceptional and we will definitely come back next time we are in Austin."

"Jasmine offers exceptional service, she was very attentive and friendly. I travel with a group for work, and we eat about 15 days a month. I have eaten about 5 times during the last 8 days and had a pleasant experience every time. The menu here has a decent variety in the bar and in the restaurant. The restaurant menu has more available steak options, but there are lower cost options for eating in the bar area. The bar has an attractive garden area and Rooftop dining areas with firepits in both areas. The roof also has an outdoor TV. The restaurant and bar are both decorated in contemporary Western Decor, as is expected by the reference of the name. A rather extensive wine list is also available, and wine is shown in the lobby bar where the restaurant and bar entrances are joined together. I have worked in this area for about 3 months and can recommend this as an excellent selection! The Sirloin in the bar is an excellent medium-priced food and the Mahi Mahi Sandwich is well above average!"
