"The food wasn't great, but it was edible.We paid for the all-you-can-eat option that included the nigiri sushi. We first got the sushi and I was a bit worried. The fish wasn't fresh at all and looked dried out. The sushi rice was overseasoned with vinegar and much too sour. The rolls were cut unevenly and came apart easily when using chopsticks. The miso soup and seaweed salad tasted store-bought, like the pre-made stuff you'd get at a Restaurant Depot. The only thing my wife and I enjoyed was the salmon skin salad, where the salmon skin was at least crispy.In terms of ambiance, it was darkly lit inside but you could tell the interior was run down and the owner didn't put much time in upkeep and appearance. The only bright spot was that the server was very attentive and pleasant."

"Our family really enjoy this restaurant. We found it by happenstance for happy hour on our last visit to Houston. On a return trip to the area we made a point to find it again for dinner. We were not disappointed. It is clearly a neighborhood favorite, has a business-casual sophistication, friendly and welcoming service and the food is phenomenal. It is a wonderful respite after a long day at the medical centers and we will return for every visit in the future."

"great ambiente. loved the historical wood construction with the exposed stone walls and the postmodern painting. beloved watch the game projected on the big screen. they told us about 30 minutes waiting on a Saturday night at 19 o'clock, but we were sitting within 15 minutes. eating was amazing. I had tacos and they were a perfect mix of taste and size, not too small, but also not too big. others at the table got the red fish taco and shared that their favorites. we finished the night with a brotpudding that had a good balance of sugar sweet. a further evaluation had given a bit of a flan type texture that was a good description. service was great. Come back!"

"This week, I went with a friend for lunch at Maiko Sushi Lounge. She is very savvy at finding good places, especially with good sushi lunch specials, since sushi is her favorite food. She reminded me of Maiko, a restaurant I visited almost seven years ago, when I still lived in downtown Austin. We arrived at noon on a Tuesday, and it was totally packed! I couldn't believe how busy it was obviously the word is out that the food is EXCELLENT, especially for the price. I had the chicken katsu lunch special bento box for $14 and it came with sushi, salad, miso soup, fried rice, an egg roll and a fried dumpling. WOW! I would totally give Maiko five stars except for our waitress kind of forgot about us since it was so busy, and it took us about 25 minutes to actually place our order. The owner/manager came to apologize and they were very nice about it. I definitely recommend Maiko. Every place gets busy, I just had to mention it."

"I love the relaxed feel of this place, the only problem is parking in downtown Ellicott City. However there is a small parking lot for the La Palapa. The food was excellent.. We will definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly, The waitress suggested a draft beer that was fantastic."

"I've been trying this place for a few months and I'm so glad I finally made it! They have done a really funny work with the aesthetic inside - it is a good looking space with a great ambience. You have a pretty fantastic happy hour (just knowing it ends at 5:30*? The house margaritas are fantastic like tacos and wings. The people who have this place/work are really friendly and attentive. We had a great time and would come back happy. *UPDATE: These wonderful people only have Happy Hour up to 6:00 a.m. daily and then extended all day on Sunday. Woohoo!"

"service is always fantastic at the Burlington location. not happy with the menu change on the nachos and the Dessert selections. many of the products are a bit sharp and I can't get sharp! I love the tavern, but these little changes make it harder to come back. in the winter you made chowder that was delicious and now there is no supper selection. please bring back the old nachos and consider them suppe or chowder for the winter!"

We had excellent service, the food was very good. All Covid requirements were in place and we were comfortable dining inside. "The environment was good and our server was great, but the food wasn't my favorite. We got the fried Calamari as an appetizer, the bread cake had a corneal base, but fell off when we wanted to pick up a piece of Calamari. The sauce with which they served was good, but a little sweet for me. The butter milk roasted chicken was juicy, but the dough they had used was not crispy. It was fried, but it was hard and chewing. The pages were amazing! The fried were thin and crispy. The Mac n Cheese was my favorite part. It was creamy and fresh homemade. The only way they could have made it better would be to add the crumbs on the top instead of slightly melted cheese."

"I’m new to the area due to a new job and was craving tacos. The young lady that was taking orders was so polite and sweet. I ordered to stay and the guy that brought my food was very polite and professional also. They spoke English which was a plus. And the food? Amazing. Very fresh and tasty. Also got the fresh lemonade Omgosh. So fresh and just right This will be my new lunch break spot lol."
