"My husband and I recently came across Pepe's Mexican restaurant. We've had dinner twice on Friday evenings. The place was clean, the servers were friendly and offered suggestions on meals and drinks. The wait time is reasonable and prices are fair for the portion sizes. I will say if you are used to delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine, stay away from the Americanized yellow cheesy meals and cheap tequila for your margaritas. (If it's dripping with yellow cheese, it's not real Mexican food. We liked their chicken mole and tostadas. We don't care for very sweet margaritas but their strawberries were fresh in the margarita with Patron tequila. We didn't like the Oaxacan (Mayan tamales, they were too dry for us but others may like them just fine. We would stop in again and try out other dishes and drinks. They have happy hour on Thursdays with discounted drinks."

"Unfortunately last night was our last visit to this location. We have always loved this location and the service we receive. Food is always good and fresh. I bought a deal on local flavor $15 for $30 worth of food. After eating we went to the front topay our bill and the owner (I believe. gave us a hard time. He first lied and told me we had to spend $45. Which in the fineprint clearly says for take out only, you just spend $30. After I called him out on that nicely he switched to well you didn?tspend $30, we were .30 off. All restaurants around here either round it for you or would tell you you?re just short, addsomething. No problem. We didn?t want to hold up the line and ended up just paying the bill. We technically saved $1. What?s thepurpose of offering deals on Local Flavor if you don?t honor what they say? Just left a bad taste in our mouth. We will be goingto other locations from now on. Highly recommend if using a local flavor be sure to show him the fine print."

"I've been here at least a dozen times. First, the service is always great and the staff is nice. Second, the steak is real tender and juicy. Also, the beans and rice taste real fresh. Furthermore, the drinks pack a punch and I recommend a margarita. Lastly, the atmosphere is spacious and has a Mexican vibe. Overall, a must visit spot. Photos below: 1. Steak taco dinner 2. "Had lunch at Azle Cafe for the first time with my granddaughters and friends. I had a club sandwich and onion rings. Great!!! Our server was Sierra!! She was the best!!!! Very recommended!!"

"Food was pretty good, love the tableside guacamole. The service was terrible. A waiter showed up and was trying to rush through our dinner order when we hadn't ordered drinks or appetizers yet. He seemed slightly irritated but wrote it all down at once. Our drinks and appetizers arrived in a timely manner.... and then we sat and waited forever while all the tables around us finished their meals and left before we finally got our food. We only had 4 people, They must have made a mistake, but we not offered any apology or explanation."

"have been here a few times the service is great so is the food. we go for the strawberry margaritas they are delicious but weak on the liquor. we had 2 pitchers (there were only 2 of us) and neither of us felt anything when we left. after spending $60 on drinks I would have liked it to be worth it. other than that experience was great."

"I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The taco shells were stale and soggy, with all the ingredients mixed together in a messy pile on two paper plates that were stapled together. I will not be returning."

"Only the margaritas were good. We ordered appetizer waitress didn't ask what kind of meat we wanted, gave us beef we wanted chicken, she was like oh well it's usually beef, we don't like their beef so we got stuck with the beef, she didn't change it.So beef tacos in the garbage. Won't be going to this pepe on Archer. We'll go back to the pepe on 87th Cicero better waitress."
