"I have been very bummed since Seaboard closed in Raleigh. I loved how they had a changing menu and used local ingredients. My mom and I do a show and dinner for Christmas (Christmas Carol). Since were weâre over in Durham I was excited to go to Harvest. We sat and chatted, the wait staff was ready and willing to help whenever needed. The hostess was using a drink tray to fake throw it like his was playing frisbee for about minutes⦠I didnât get it. Then a different worker started spraying cleaner above the door to clean the window. Mind you, people were entering the restaurant. We order our appetizer, it was hummus with pita. Humans was excellent, but the compliments clashed in my mouth. Pickled mini corn, pickled artichoke hearts, and sweet pickles. Okay, can look past it⦠just an app. Then, we had about bits of our appetizer and our dinner came out. We ordered our steaks medium rare, they came to us rare. We sent them back, steaks were on the wrong plates when returned an now our steaks were medium. Then, it wasnât trimmed properly, so we both had fat and gristle left on our plates. We ordered cheesecake for dessert and it was a frozen one and was sitting around too long. You know how they get gummy on the top and the crust is soggy? Yep⦠that was it. Oh, and the last bottle of wine that we had that the manager said would be discounted because he didnât have a tasting for it wasnât discounted. Honestly, didnât even care about the wine. Is this what happened to Seaboard and people just stopped going? Very disappointed."
