"not our first visit. the ambience/space was as usual wonderful. and the service was very good, although not as good as visiting earlier. the table was not deleted in time from starters. missing coordination between server and others. the cocktails were wonderful and well served (ganzer eis cubes for the immersive cocktails.) old fashioned was wonderful and her cocktail that won the “best” price this year was original and delicious. the food was excellent with an exception I will come. the honey biscuits, tomatenbrot and elchkarpaccio were all excellent. the tomato dish was like the summer eating. the carpaccio was deeply flavored and so tender it was hard to remove the plate with a fork. the cookies are a clasp and do not fail us. the grilled auberginentree looked like a steak. it had good body and grilled taste. the best “Risotto” with chanterelle mushrooms was a hit. so was the lambskin. it had a beautiful sear and great taste. the Pesto/Bäse/Fava-Begleitung was an excellent contrast and the kartoffelbreie were probably 50:50 (butter on kartoffel.) the bark meat and barley dish had the same pesto risotto as the aubergine. all the services were wonderful. the bark of wagyu was a disappointment. not buttery tender and only lack of taste (although the sose reduction on the plate helped here.) they do not think this is an executive question. more of an ingredient problem. maybe just be a taste thing, but our two diners who had agreed the court, they had better beef tenderloin filets (flamvor and texture) with wagyu price tag. the wine list was extensive and quite expensive. all in all, a very nice meal, but for the price, they have to raise their game a little."
