"Second time visitor. First rate sushi as well as other good menu items. Odd greeting at 6 :05 for a 6:15 reservation, oh there you are, we 've been waiting for you and the reserved table was a high top. Wasn 't worth a 30 minute wait to turn it down. Waitress service was very good including following the request to bring things as they were available instead of some other protocol. Will be back and request regular table ahead of time. Go and enjoy the food."

"The staff here are very kind. Especially the sushi chefs behind the bar. No complaints with the staff at all. The restaurant is clean. However, the only reason I gave 3 stars was because after eating here my husband and I weren’t feeling well. Ourstomachs were so upset. We shared two rolls between the two of us…the Boston roll and jingle bell roll. Not sure if fish wasbad but we weren’t well that evening and in the bathroom a lot."

"My family has been to Wasabi Fairview Height many times . The sushi is fresh, prepared to perfection and always tastes great. The servers.. mostlyt young men... are helpful, friendly attentive . We have had the same server several times...his name is Conor. He is wonderful and should be commended for his service. The manager Cory is always helpful ..I've called in the past to ask about specials. I will continue to go to Wasabi as long as it stays as it is right now Great addition to Fairview dining...Ruth"

"This is a hidden gem! I would have never thought this small spot would deliver flavor and quality for a reasonable price. The quality is definitely there. One way I could tell is from the tuna. It broke down very easily one I popped a piece of sushi. When tuna is tender and isn't chewy you know you have quality meat. The bento box was made just right. Not one bad thing to say about it except I would have liked more of it! FYI: Make sure to check-in before you order to see their current Yelp offer."

"Oh man — we were completely blown away with this restaurant. We just saw this while walking around the area, not knowing what to expect. We were just really craving for Japanese food. Needless to say, we are SO happy we chose this restaurant for dinner. The prices were surprisingly wallet-friendly, given the freshness and quality of the food. Each bite was just SO GOOD. The service was very fast, and the server was so friendly and accommodating. I honestly can’t think of anything bad about this restaurant. I can’t wait to eat here again!"

"This restaurant is located in the same plaza with Target, Cha for Tea, L&L, and lots of other foods. This place is also near CSULB. There is plenty of parking in the plaza.Ambiance is kinda dark and there's plenty of booths and tables! There is a hand sanitizer bottle on every table which is nice.Food is pretty good and decent. I've had their BOGO sushi before. This time around I got their bento box with sesame chicken and chicken teriyaki. My bf got sushi rolls: the prince and the BSCR. I honestly don't have a picture of my bf's food since the service was kind of meh. My food came first then after a while one sushi roll came out. They left and didn't even provide ginger, soy sauce and wasabi. We had to ask for it but it took a while to get their attention. Then after what seems like 20 mins, we never got the other rolls so we had to ask them to check in on it. Pretty sure they had forgotten it and just told the chef to make it. Was not happy with the service provided on a Sunday night. Overall, a bit disappointed but will consider coming back..."

"we have made a reservation because it was only a few minutes walk from our hotel. When we came in, the place looked down and unclean. the smell was very bad and our feet remained at the bottom. they brought us to a table that was also sticky and gave us a dish that kept dried food on it. I apologised to go the men's toilet to wash my hands. in the middle of the bathroom floor there was a huge water poodle from a leaky drain pipe below the sink, which is a 15-minute work. they knew it was leaking because they had tied a plastic sandwich bag around the pipe where it was leaking. the whole place smells really bad. when I left the bathroom (as soon as possible), the smell was unbearable by the kitchen. I looked through the open door into the kitchen area and it was very inconspicuous and dirty. I went back to the table and told my son we were going. I wasn't risking mental problems on vacation and I felt sure what would have been going on if we had stayed."

"I do not know the story, but this place opened at a location that was previously a different sushi restaurant. That place was pretty great. I could not honestly notice a difference. You could have told me they just changed the name for all I could tell. Great sushi. Pretty standard cost. Very quiet and nice ambiance. The staff is very friendly. I went for Valentine's Day and thought it great for a date. I could see going there with friends, family, or coworkers too."

"Love that we discovered this little spot. Modern decor with option of high top tables, normal tables, bar, and sushi bar. We go early, so it's never busy. Last night we had Ashley as a server. She was super sweet and gave some good suggestions. Their sizzling dumplings are yummy and unique. They have a piano guy too but haven't seen him yet. Good for date night or girls night."

"Fish was tough and not good flavor. On top of their rolls means they lay the pieces on their side and use an ice cream scooper to drop a fat blob of something on top , making a giant hamburger looking thing? "Update: 1/16/22 we visited yesterday as a table of 4. It was super busy, fully booked. While the food was always good, it seemed to be on a different level of corniness. The cocktails also seemed so improved, which always seemed so good. The spicy edamame is for !! The service was fantastic. Even if so busy, our waiter was completely on the point. This is a great culinary experience. This remains a large Japanese restaurant. The service is always friendly and fast. The restaurant feels spacious and open, beautifully decorated. The food is simply delicious and always artistically decorated. A great place for delicious, consistent Japanese cuisine and service."
