"After having eaten here with my family, I would never eat or recommend this restaurant to everyone again. The server we had was extremely rude. My daughter ordered quite clearly fried rice and the person brought her fried rice and said that is what she actually ordered. She never once asked us if our meal is good or even refills our waterglass. The worst part was that she ran out of the restaurant and actually chased us into our car and screamed that she demanded a big top. It was incredible and unacceptable. If the owner does not get a grip on his employees and quality of food, he will actually lose more valued customers."

"I'll give you the good and the not so good.The good: great hand made noodles, hand made pork dumplings, and BBQ pork bun. Loved the authentic preparation on the noodles with amazing crispy chili oil bock choy. The BBQ pork bun had great textire and 5 spice prominent flavors. The dumplings were fantastic with great texture and flavor.The not so good: The sushi was lacking expensive. I would expect real crab when the price of a roll is $19 or $20. Sushi rolls were over-sauced. The shrimp tempura was a frozen product, not made in house. When walking down the street, every restaurant was packed. When we entered Sakura, we were the only table there in a massive dining room. No music, dead silence. It was kind of eerie considering how busy all the other restaurants on the block were. Overall, it feels like this place is trying to offer too many things instead of honing in on what they are clearly very good at. Why not focus on the authentic preparations and flavors instead of trying to please every palette? I would go back for the hand made noodles dumplings. Sushi is being done at a very high level at so many places in the city, therefore I'd pass on it at this location."

"beautiful place. the personal is very nice and professional. the short ribs are so delicious, juicy and delicate. the pupa salad was great and also the rock steak was excellent. the portions are not great, so they should definitely choose a dessert and cappuccino if they love dessert! the drinks are good and the pretty glass decorations from the deck are so beautiful together with the back water wall with changing colors. I have always enjoyed my eating here and have always reservations for us to eat here. I'm just sad that we can't have any more entertainment outside or inside. it's ridiculous. of course not the company choice. once a few years ago (as the cars are parked valet) there was a striped white color on the side mirror of my new acura. I was excited the next day when I found it. the food and drink are good. I wouldn't recommend their drivers."

"Ordered for delivery through DoorDash. Have always been a bit skeptical about sushi from Murray Hill… haven’t had good experiences in the past. Maguro totally changes that. Fairly priced, high quality fish. And delivery was fast. I had tuna, salmon and yellow tail nigiri and a tuna roll. All of the fish was at a proper temperature, great cuts, and delicious. Rice was also well flavored and a good level of sticky.I also got an order of pork gyoza. Equally delicious and of high quality.A nice touch was sliced pineapple as a mini after meal dessert."

"I ordered furniture from them on Etsy; spent a couple grand. Big mistake. No communication from them; no response to messages about when they would ship. Then, Jim messages, 'We will let you know... we are expecting a shipment next week '. This made no sense. Did they not have the stuff they sold me? More silence in response to my questions. Then they said that they were painting the furniture. Suspicious, that they actually didn 't have the furniture, I asked for a photo. No response. Last Monday, they messaged, 'We will send you photos by Friday. ' Friday and Saturday passed, no photo. When I pressed for a ship date, Jim responded, 'Next week.... ' which, I pointed out, is not a date. No response. Ultimately, I contacted my credit card fraud department. They said they refunded me today. I 'm hopeful but skeptical. No credit has yet appeared im my account. These people are sketchy. Their 'store ' is sketchy. Run away"

"THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER! I went there because my six year old wanted to go for sushi and we had been before. It's always been mediocre and I gave in and went. I made the mistake of getting the all you can eat for $33.95. I ordered a roll, some sushi and a handroll. They sat us right near the sushi bar and the person helping to make the sushi would not stop glaring at me my entire meal! Always checking out what I was eating was I sharing? It was so unenjoyable. I could not just enjoy eating and being with my family for my daughter's birthday. The sushi was terrible. All rice and barely anything in the middle of the rolls or on top of the sushi. It had no flavor at all. Then to top it off, the server came over to me and warned me that I must finish all my rice on my plate or I would be charged. At that point, I let her know just how awful the food was and on top of that, I could not enjoy even sitting there with them eyeing me and surrounding me, monitoring every bite and my every move with their precious all you can eat rice. Please save your money. There are plenty of other sushi restaurants on 72nd street that are quality and great service/pleasant dining experience."

"The ambiance, with its low lighting, created a romantic atmosphere, and we will definitely be returning! The food was fantastic! I found the drinks to be overly sweet, but I enjoyed the Saketini, which was great if you like strong cocktails. However, the piña colada and Mojito tasted more like simple syrup and coconut cream. Overall, it's an amazing spot if you know what to order! I recommend trying a little bit of everything."

"This is a beautifully located restaurant on the top of a small mountaintop location that makes it feel like such an authentic Japanese location. I am giving 2 stars unfortunately do to the experience that we had at the restaurant (if you look at my profile I barely give 1 2 star reviews). The food was good, the drinks were good however our chef and server just didn?t have it tonight. No smiles, long waits and in general just not a pleasant attitude. The tables next to us were singing, laughing and tricks were being had. I?m sure for many the experience will be great, hopefully this can help provide some candid feedback to the restaurant management team."
