"we often bring our visitors here and this trip was not great. we sat and two more tables sat after us and first got their orders. it took 45 minutes to get an salate. we never got drinks refills and parts of our order were wrong. we only saw the waitress a few times because she was lined. for lunch in the week we would have expected a faster service. we understand that it is difficult nowadays to find good employees, but we may need to think our future visits again."

"The service was really bad your s time. We sat in the bar and we had to wait longer than usual. We had to wait for our server to ask us if we wanted another drink and then after that waited again for the bartender to make our drinks. We didn't have any mixed drinks, just beer. Then we moved to the bar stools and thought that would make it better, NOPE. He seemed bothered so we asked him if he was upset and he said no it's just I've been working all day! Well so did I. Don't think I'll be back if that bartender is still there. Our service gal was trying and even the manager tried to make out right. kudos to them ty."

"Our first trip to Redondo Beach left us really impressed. Excellent parking set up with easy payment options (they even text you before your time expires to see if you’d like to extend your time. All from your phone! The pier had a lot of delicious food options and provided a nice break from the sand and water. If you wanted to get away from the crowds, you just had to walk a little farther and you’d end up next to volleyball nets where the crowd was minimal! I can’t wait to go back!"

"We had a horrible experience. Sunday brunch. It started where we were seated outside on a table with an half inch of dirt on it. Manager had to come and clean it. Then the shade we had was taken away from us and given to another table.she then tried to move us to another dirty table with a ton of flies I refused and said no please find us a table inside. She did but we didn’t get a waited on for 25 min. The food lines were long by the time you got to the food it was either gone or cold. Just a horrible experience. I will never go back. I will continue to post about this experience. I spoke with the manager she did not seem to care."

"we reserved a table for 15 to 20 people for a graduation party on a Friday night before a week. the employees are amazing and accommodating. eating is generally good. can not go wrong with chips and salsa. the fajitas are good. I created my plate with 3 articles. the barbacoa enchilada and flaute are my favorites. only the correct amount of food for the price. they expect to pay these days, everything in the price is up everywhere. but if you want to enjoy the ambiente and its companions for lunch or dinner, this place is always a good choice. especially for Sunday brunch."

"The food here… to DIE for! We shared the fajitas with steak and shrimp and it was delicious. Everything we ordered was amazing. The only issues we experienced was that it was insanely hot in the restaurant. We asked for a window table and there was one available however it was in direct sunlight. We had to ask to sit at a different table which was better, but, the restaurant itself was humid so they had to open doors to cool it off. We will be coming back, but maybe when it starts to get cooler out."

"Hot food was cold. It would have been excellent if it had been kept warm. No warming pans underneath or overhead heaters over most of the food. Front doors were open, making restaurant cold inside. It was odd to walk in to a huge open room. We were disappointed because we'd been to one in Brea which was fantastic."

"Inaccurate description of items that are being offered for Father’s Day brunch. Took over 20min to get drinks. Service was horrible. Reordered items and one never came. I had to track down server to even cash out. I’ve been to other El Toritos and I worked for the company before and used to be a trainer so I’m very understanding when it comes to service. I’ve worked in restaurants for over 15yrs and our server touched our table twice only. Even if it was brunch it was not as busy as other restaurants we’ve gone to brunch to previously. I was very disappointed coming from cypress to try to experience another restaurant that I had not gone to since I’ve been to most el toritos. I do say I won’t be back to this one again…"

"We went to the buffet, they definitely need more servers. One server, for the desserts, posole, ceviche line was horrible. At least put two servers there!! Line was crazy! "The Sunday Brunch at El Torito was fantastic! The food was delicious, the service was great, and the Mexican ambiance really made you feel like you were south of the border. While they used to have a buffet-style brunch, things have changed due to the pandemic. Now, there are servers at each station serving up tasty and fresh dishes, with many drinks included in the price. From pancakes to tacos, churros to flan, ceviche to muesli and milk, there's something for everyone. We bought two $50 gift cards for $79, which was a good deal for four people. It may be a bit pricey for some, but in my opinion, it's definitely worth it."
