"I have reserved several days in advance for a table for 4. when we arrived, we were offered sitting at the counter. a table was never available for us and ultimately the only place for us were four seats on the long high table. for most of our meals others sat the same table. when I asked about a table, I was told that, although they make a reservation for a table, they are not guaranteed to get one. while we enjoyed our lunch, I would have enjoyed it much more sitting on a table by ourselves. as we had entertained family members from northville for their first visit in midland, I was a bit embarrassing that my reservation for a table meant nothing when we arrived. we love cafe zinc, but this outing was a disappointment."
