"Sittin ' down by the fire Ooo, the radio does play The classical music there, Jim The March of the Wooden Soldiers All you protest kids You can hear Jack say Sweet Jane by the Velvet Underground I am a fan of East Bay Yelper Brandi W. 's reviews feel she could totally write for VegNews. I loved her review of Golden Era. I recently went here two nights in a row for dinner. The first night I went w/ a omnivore friend she loved the food here as did I. We started w/ the Mushu Rolls. The Mushu Rolls are amazing a must have. They come as 4 rolls for $8.25 are raw cabbage , carrot, avocado, soy protein. They come wrapped w/ paratha. These were a great fusion food also had a vegan mayo on them. I spent three years in India over several winters so know that stuffed paratha is a common breakfast in Northern India such as aloo or gobi stuffed paratha w/ potatoes or cauliflower. We shared a Spicy Sweet Sour Soup that is a traditional Vietnamese Spicy hot pot w/ pineapple, celery, tomato, bean sprouts, okras in a tamarind fresh herbs base. This soup was $10 was pretty hearty so was great to share. We decided to have one of their specialties as a main course went w/ the Lemongrass Deluxe. This was $13 included spicy gourmet lemongrass soy chicken served w/ steamed broccoli. We paired this w/ some organic brown rice that was $2.50. I found the spicy gourmet lemongrass soy chicken flavorful yet didn 't realize that it was fried as I am not a big fan of fried foods so probably wouldn 't order it again. I would say that it was awesome that it came w/ heaps of steamed broccoli the brown rice helped balance it out. My friend decided to get a House Hot Tea that was very reasonably priced as was just $1 for the pot of tea. The next night I went back again for dinner went w/ the Pad Thai which came w/ rice noodles, bean sprouts, onion, cabbage, vegan shrimp stir fried in a spicy sauce topped w/ peanuts. This was $10 filling. It hit the spot decided to spice it up a bit w/ some of the chili hot sauces found on the table. The second night I went here it was packed many people were waiting for a table. FYI, they do take reservations which is probably a good idea on a busy Fri or Sat night for dinner."
