"Having stayed away during Covid from restaurants south of East Street, I decided a visit to the best bistro in Manhattan was warranted. I was not disappointed, and judging from the SRO crowds indoors neither were the other diners The calves liver smothered in caramelized onions were the best I have tasted this side of the western coast of France. The tarte tatin was superb not too sweet. The menu at Sel et Poivre is extensive, something for everyone. Many appetizers and entrées are not found elsewhere. If you want to eat French bistro food, reserve a table here Dimitri"
