"We arrived early for our special occasion dinner and were seated at the bar. We ordered a bottle of wine and waited for our seating. We requested a window table and were seated as requested. The view out was of a forest with a lake in the background. Chipmunks played outside the window for about fifteen minutes then we saw two deer slinking through the trees. One of the deer came right up on the paved patio area and continued to feed on bushes and others food just out of our sight below. The service was good with two attendants however they did not seem in sinc and let my water glass stay empty for some time. The food was good but not outstanding. I ordered a soft shell crab appetizer which was very chewy. I only a few bites. My wife ordered asparagus cream soup which she only took two spoonfuls and said it taste like fish stock. For entrees she ordered the veal which she enjoyed and I order a filet which was tender however I prefer my steaks grilled. The meal consisted of five courses with a double spoonful of a tasty cream pudding, a small tasty salad, deserts which were extravagant but delicious. The wine was an excellent NAPA Valley Cabernet and their wine list was exceptional. The view made the experience very enjoyable. For the area it was probably the most romantic restaurant available and while it was good we have had better overall meals and service in other locations. With the tip we spent over $300 for the evening which is fairly expensive for a less than top of the line dinner."
