"My girlfriend and I dined here last night we sat outside weather was fantastic the band the pour decisions they rocked the joint they 're awesome. Now to the food we 'll it sucked all around terrible bland our server a young Hispanic girl seemed overwhelmed and inexperienced. I ordered enchilada supremo was the daily special but nothing special about it. My girlfriend ordered two tamales bowl of black beans and Mexican rice. The bowl of black beans resembled a bowl of bean soup so watery and disgusting. Apparently they ran out of tamales but didn 't inform us in a timely manner so my meal came out and her meal didn 't come out until I had finished with my meal. Everything was bland unseasoned the most disgusting dinner ever! And to top it all off the seat bottom of my chair suddenly collapsed as I 'm sitting in it. They leave the chairs outside in the rain and they are not really outdoor chairs. I may go back for the band and a beer but I 'll never dine here again. Very disappointed!"

"1. I ordered using Grub hub on a Friday during their normal hours. Grub hub told me my order was ready. When I went the place wasn't even open. I was charged for the order. I called a few times only to be hung up on every time. I had to go in person to explain the situation and they were then able to give me my order. 2. I ordered again using Grub hub. I got a phone call telling me that they did not have the item I wanted. Again I was charged for the item and when I called trying to explain the situation, again I was hung up on. This continued 2-3 times for the following 2 weeks. Again I had to go in person to explain the situation and they were then able to give me a different item. Lesson. Don't use Grub Hub when ordering for this place. Just save yourself the headache and go in person."

"Great mom and pop spot hidden in Southeast Austin. The food is good at a really good price. Parking can be an issue during peak times because it's limited (shared with other businesses and a gas station) and some spots are very tight. Don't forget to try the horchata."

"quite decent eating altogether, I like eating here is more Tex-Mex than traditional low-quality dive mexican that they get at most Mexican restaurants. I like the tacos al carbon. get the jalapeno ranch dive for these chips, it is very excellent and one of the main reasons I think to visit chuy’s."

"I love chuys because of the house made corn and flour shells. I usually get chicken fajitas and it’s always delicious. The chicken is not bits and pieces of frozen meat but a chicken breast that’s been grilled on an actual char grill and sliced for fajitas. It’s moist and flavorful. They use green and red peppers in their fajita vegetables and it makes all the difference. The guacamole is some of the best around. The refried beans are never too salty or runny. The salsa is fresh! Not from a can. So good! The boom boom sauce is cheesy and spicy; a combination I appreciate. One complaint.. I wish chuys would expand their menu again. I miss some of their old dishes"

"I am thrilled that they have returned to making the pico de gallo the way they used to. They had changed it to be sweeter for a while, which I did not enjoy. The pico is back to its original flavor, and I am so happy about it! I ordered the chuychanga with deluxe tomatillo, and it was delicious. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was very busy; they may need more servers."
