"I really enjoy the fresh sushi and hamachi at this restaurant, with a wide variety of rolls to choose from. The Thai dishes, such as Duck, Pad Thai, whole fish, and spicy rice with options like shrimp, chicken, and beef, are exceptional as well."

"Yum! All in all pretty tasty food.I did not enjoy the summer roll however. It was served with fried tofu chunks on top of the roll NOT an ingredient within the summer roll! Ok not the end of the world. But when I pick up a piece of roll it falls apart because its actually one roll cut into 4 pieces... so 2 middle pieces have no bottom...just open-ended tubes of mostly lettuce with basil. It was disappointing because it felt like I was served a kitchen mistake salad instead of a summer roll .Flavor was good, but Finesse, Details Consistency matters too."

"Believe me, when you see a photo like this, it means that we had to keep enjoying the cuisine before we had a chance to take a photo. Without a doubt the best Thai in New York. There’s amazing service and curry sauce, and your choice of spicy or non spicy, and the Khao Soy Chicken (real slow cooked actual chicken, not veggie chicken in Northern Thai style curry) and Crab Meat Fried Rice are to DIE for, along with pretty much every dish. And the people who work here are amazing and friendly."

"This place should be shut down. Dirty facilities, overpriced, consistently BAD QUALITY. FOOD (NOT AUTHENTIC I ordered the sizzling beef which was not fresh (you could tell the meat was previously frozen), terrible flavor. Most horrible of all is the manager Mary, who is a very nasty person does not understand customer service or hospitality, and runs the restaurant like an dictator automat. Extremely rude, bad service. So many other places on the Upper West Side better than this filthy restaurant. Save your money, do not patronize this dump."

"I had a great experience at this restaurant when I visited around 3 pm on a Friday. It was not busy, and the food came out quickly and hot. I ordered Pad Thai and Panang Curry, which you can customize the level of heat from 1-5. I enjoy spicy food, so I chose level 3. It had a good level of spice that complemented the flavors without overpowering them. Next time, I will try level 4 and update my review. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Also, the Thai tea I ordered was delicious."

"Pyae is so sweet. I went for lunch and it was amazing! The portions and prices were outstanding! Great quality food and very clean restaurant. Service was wonderful, pyae was so attentive and kind constantly refilling our water and overall readily available for customers. The fact that this place is family owned is also a plus. As a born and raised New Yorker, mom and pop owned places are rare. We must do our part to help them survive as they accommodate us with perks like lunch specials and happy hours! Kati is a must try!"

"Wow, this place is incredible. Every dish had so much care put into it. It was incredibly tasty! While it has the usual hits you'd find in most American Thai restaurants, there's also a lot of authentic dishes I'd recommend branching out to try! I really loved the Khao Soi with pork belly. Not to mention the ambiance was lovely. Will definitely be back."

"Called and asked whats the last time for dine in and they said 10:15pm so i travelled 4 miles just to eat here. Guess what i reached there at 10:16pm, just a min late they didnt let me in. I told them I dont live near here and im just a min late. The hostess said yes you’re still a minute late with such a annoyed face. The girls working here are lazy and very unprofessional with no manners to talk to customers who are very polite. I noticed they were flirting and being nice to guys smh. All in a … – show"

"Really enjoyed the duck curry, but it's probably better at the restaurant so it doesn't have time for the crispy skin to get soggy. Fairly large portion and the meat itself was well-cooked, not overdone/tough."

"Hands down my #1 most favorite restaurant! This place turned me on to sushi and I loves the service! The Robert #1, Monica roll, and the Notre Dame roll were some of my faves. Robert and his wife were amazing!! Thank you guys for all the amazing years of excellence and excited to hear about the new moves and whenever I visit again, I'll look forward to stopping by to meet and eat with the new team!"

"Ordered the sausage and red curry chicken. Wife had salmon. She said it was very good. All portions were generous and the food was delicious. The red curry had the right amount of heat. I made the mistake of ordering green curry last time and while it was good, it was too hot for me. The service is always great. Side note: comfortable via the 7 train or Q60 bus. Parking is a breeze among the raised 7 tracks."

"I had stopped ordering from here about 3 years ago since the food was no longer good...I had been a loyal customer since 2016. I have been ordering from all the recommended other sources and they all seem to have gone down lately. I thought I would give Tum Yum another try since their reviews seem to have gone up and since the others were disappointing lately and WOW! They're back! Food was reasonably priced, portions were generous and the quality was exceptional! I'm back to being a loyal customer again!...so happy!OK...I ordered twice since the 5 star review above. They have no menu to offer and ask you to look online...the prices online are from delivery services and they are elevated prices that the delivery services are charging to cover their expenses...even if you pick up the food...so it is way overpriced! The services add about 20%, or at least 15% to menu prices to cover their expenses...so Tom Yum charges the same for some reason. The quality of the dishes the next two times I ordered was not good. They forgot the sauce for the mediocre pot stickers, the Tom Kha soup was like water with very little flavor, The Lard Nar was inedible...not like anything I have had before and the Shu Mai was full of baby shrimp (not minced) and very fishy tasting...we tossed them. The Pad Thai had no flavor, it was like soggy bean sprouts and bland noodles... So long Tom Yum Cafe. There are better places for less money and higher quality. I get upset when I feel ripped off!"

"Thai Avenue is by far the freshest and most creative Thai restaurant around. They have a phenomenal menu. I recommend the Fresh Summer Roll crunchy, clean flavor, the Tom Yum Soup with just enough heat the Duck Ta Lay an intriguing mix of crispy duck, scallops, shrimp, mussels mushrooms. The Pad Thai is also very flavorful the soft shell crab salad is most delectable! The seating is cozy trendy, a great date night spot. The owner is very personable and accommodating. Wish I lived closer, cannot wait to come back soon!!!"
"Wonderful food! Very flavorful and authentic. The four of us really enjoyed it. The place is very small, clean, and quaint. Our server was as lovely as she was attentive. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the South Street area."
