"Love taco Tuesday at Rubio's. The salsa bar is kept very clean. If I had a correction to make I'd have some plastic bags by the salsa bar so you can bag a few limes and jalapenos when you get your food to go. Otherwise the store is beautiful. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious."

"Okay so I love Rubio's. When I first discovered them I was addicted to the fish taco especial's. The pesky combo was my go to meal every time I visited. Well now I've been to Rubio's so many times I realize that I pretty much like ALL their food. Currently is the coastal trio that I'm loving. So this is the first time I went to this Rubio's because I recently started working near this one and getting lunch daily at Gravity Heights can put you in the poor house. So I suggested to a CO worker that we go here one day and we can have a glass of wine here as well! Well we were beyond disappointed because this location only serves beer (don't get me wrong I'm a beer longer too), which is a bummer because we love the food and how close it is and it would save us A TON of money IF we decided to have a glass of two of wine at lunch time. Of course my job frowns upon that and we have taken that into consideration. Anyway the cashier was very hard to understand, not just because of the mask, that's understandable- but he mumbled and spoke very low. Not unfriendly though. All in all it was a good experience. Always love the food"

"I’m visiting from out of town, and I actively sought out Rubio’s because of multiple previous positive experiences. Of course, I ordered the original fish tacos. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience needed some improvement: the air conditioning wasn’t working; there was no ice available for drinks; and the fish in the tacos was folded in half before frying (almost like a ball) which is just not compatible with a taco. I’ll be back, though."

"However, there was another issue when I noticed that my order had been entered incorrectly as a mango avocado salad instead of the avocado corn taco salad that I had actually ordered. Despite showing them the menu item, the staff insisted that they did not have the salad I wanted and suggested removing the mango from my order. When I finally received my food, it was not what I had originally ordered. Despite showing them a picture of the menu from my phone, the staff seemed unconcerned and offered to remake the dish that they had told me they did not have. Frustrated with the service and errors in my order, I requested a refund for the incorrect meal. The lack of apology or accountability from the staff left me feeling unsatisfied with my experience, and I do not plan on returning to this location. I hope they improve their service in the future."

"I always forget how good the original fish tacos are. Went for the 40th anniversary fish taco deal and was not disappointed. Sadly it was a max of two tacos pp only. Also ordered the California bowl with chicken which was ok, the rice was a bit overcooked. For the child got the Build your own tacos with steak, and was surprised at what a nice big portion it is. Staff seemed a bit frazzled with the number of customers but kept their composure (even with rude costumes) and still served with a friendly smile."

"Living out of state, we try to visit Rubios whenever we're in San Diego. The fish tacos are just sooooo good and the menu variety pretty stacked. Used to get the enchilada in the past, but it looks as if they don't offer them any longer. This location was clean with limited seating. No crowd! Staff was polite and helpful. Can't wait to return for more fish taco greatness!"

"Your customer service was fantastic. From the chefs to Nancy who brought my food out! I “wanted” but sat in her outdoor area and received my food super timely. I was kind of hyped because my spices were removed with the lid. Sometimes you still have to remove the lids and risk splatter, waste time etc. even if you dive. Her outdoor area was so clean with huge parasols. This Rubios location is probably in my Top 2, but not 2."

"This is my favorite Rubio's in So Cal. I drive out of my way to come to this location. They consistently give good sized portions. I've never had a negative customer service experience. In fact, all the staff are so nice and hospitable. It's a popular location so sometimes there's a bit of a wait. But good things come to those who wait. The food is well prepared and packaged. Can't beat the prices or professionalism."

"Agin in the prowl looking for a good fish taco during the Lent season. We ended up at Thai place and Maggie love the steak burrito. The fish tacos were very good with a side of chips and beans. So far I have not been disappointed in my adventures looking for the perfect taco sandwich. Now off to do homework. I wish they had WiFi here. I could of worked and ate at the same time."

"Stopped in for a quick lunch the other night and had a pleasant experience. They are still not allowing their full sauce bar given COVID, so it is a little inconvenient to have to ask for sauces time and time again and you aren't given much to begin with, so I had to go back up 3 times. The chips were crispy and fresh, and my shrimp bowl had a variety of well balanced flavors. I guess my only critique is how small the portion sizes have become. I know I'm not going to get a dozen shrimp, but to only get 4-6 in a big bowl usually makes me second guess my choice of proteins. (Plus, this time there were no shrimp when the food was brought out to me...I was fortunate to be eating in and could bring it to their attention)...check your food if picking up to go!"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time, thanks to my daughter-in-law. The fish tacos were fantastic! We happened to go on World Oceans Day and received some wonderful reusable bags. Since we were visiting from Salt Lake City, the manager was particularly pleasant and friendly towards us. Overall, it’s a great place!"

"Ever since the Livermore location closed, I had to travel to Rubio's in Tracy and Pleasant Hill. The customer service at Pleasant Hill is much better than Tracy's. The food is also prepared quicker. I usually order the shrimp trio, and I noticed right away that the quality wasn't as good at Pleasant Hill. I included pictures in this post for comparison - one from Pleasant Hill and one from Tracy for you to see for yourself."

"I recently tried the fish taco especial at Rubio's and was pleasantly surprised by the large, juicy pieces of fish. Despite some difficulties finding the restaurant, the unique layout of the shopping center made it convenient to access Rubio's both from inside and outside the mall.
