"This location sucks every time we come in. I love the food so we try about every 6 months hoping for a better turnout. This was definitely the last time. We have walked out twice before because we never got greeted. Today the hostess had a great attitude and was so smiley and sweet! She’d receive 5 stars! Once we sat, the server took our drink order, then our food order. Then she was gone. She didn’t come by for the 40 minutes we waited for our food. We saw her one time delivering food to her one other table but she never once stopped by to check on us or came out of the kitchen again. A manager came by and refilled a drink that sat empty half the time. Keep in mind.. The place had 6 tables? And About 8 servers walking and standing around. Our orders were pretty easy, party of 3 and one being a kids meal and they took forever with how dead it was. 40 minutes of our server missing and she finally brings the food out. I asked if I could get a refill on my drink now that the food arrived. Goes missing again and never brings the drink. I finish my entire meal. The manager walks by again and asks if he can get us anything. We ask for drinks again. He had her bring the refills to the table at this point. We watched another server closing the dining room pretty much the whole time we were in there, so I’m not sure if our server was doing closing in the back. But we walked in at 7:40, they close at 10, so I think it was necessary to stay attentive to the guests. We didn’t come in 10 minutes before close, and we didn’t come in at a peak hour. The service was not appropriate for the amount of servers and the very few tables. We love the food but something’s gotta give because the experience is never enjoyable here."

"My friend and I meander through the cold and blustering wind on a brisk day in February 2023. The wind whips our face and gives a pink, almost luminescent, glow to our skin. My friend's stomach grumbles a sign that hunger is near, nay, has but already arrived. We hasten our pace and stop our giggling things are getting serious. We need food fast. We have crossed our rubicon. Our weary eyes gaze blankly at the restaurants in front of us all but too fancy and too elegant for a simple, quick lunch that we so desperately crave. Then we see it. A star amongst the dark night (this is a metaphor, it was midday). The shadows part to reveal a one Beatrix Market. The smell of freshly baked bread and fast casual splendor draws us in.The market is a small one attached to the bustling Beatrix restaurant. Like ravenous wolves, we scan the room for our prey. Our noses draw us to a large ladle entrenched within a silver bowl, labeled “Turkey Chili”. This was it! This is exactly what we need.We serve ourselves two bowls of the chili. I gaze up and notice small balls of cheese and bread, labeled “Brazilian Cheese Bread (GF)”. GF! WOW! As a gluten free girlie, I cherish any restaurant or food hall that provides ample options for my dietary needs. I grab two and dunk them in my bowl of chili. As we dig into our bowls, our childhoods dance in front of our eyes, like the critic in Ratatouille when he tries Remy’s delectable entree. I hear the faint hum of the Girl from Ipanema as I my teeth crunch into the cheese bread, both perfectly crunchy on top and chewy within. I dip the bread with exuberance into the chili; together, they are like Batman and Robin, Marlin and Dory, Selena Gomez The Scene an iconic dynamic duo. I highly recommend this combination. This is glorious. Our bodies so desperately needed this. We are alive."
