"I reserved a table for four several weeks in advance on Open Table. I specifically requested one of the half-round booths in the balcony since we were bringing some good friends to help us celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. I called one day before the reservation to confirm they would be able to accommodate the request. The young lady confirmed it would be no problem since we were dining early (5:45 pm). I even called the day of the reservation a few hours before to confirm yet again, as I wanted our friends(who had not dined @WCK before) to enjoy the great view from the lowest balcony level of the open kitchen. Upon arrival, I asked the hostess if they were still going to be able to accommodate my special request. She nodded yes and away we went upstairs. Unfortunately, the hostess seated us in the highest level at an end table that could not even see the lower level. I was very disappointed but didn’t say anything since all of the booths appeared to be occupied. I understand things happen and our guests did not complain, but I was disappointed that the restaurant could not accommodate my repeated request from several weeks earlier. Other than the non-existent view and rather cramp space of the top corner table (plus it was a bit warm), service by Lex and the food was excellent. The server who brought our iced teas (one sweet one unsweet) misidentified them and caused an additional delay while one was replaced since I sipped from the wrong one. My wife also noticed the Box Office salad is now in a plate instead of the normal bowl that we have seen previously. She thought it was smaller than before and the presentation was not as nice. The entrees (filet, parma grana chicken, short rib, prime rib) all received good reviews. Taste temperature of the food was very good. All in all- a 4* experience that could have been 5* had we been given the booth requested repeatedly promised. We still love the place and will be back with other friends family."

"I have here on a Sunday afternoon in Feb. Although everyone was not completely satisfied with his meals, we had a great time, and all 9 went home feel good. Why? It was because of our server that was excellent, and she went out of her way to close with only one hour to pick us up. The kitchen was perhaps in the shut-off mode, which was waiting for the Entrees a little long, and some articles were not available. Our nice server made the best of the situation. We had starters buffalo wings, crabs and mac cheese with braided beef. The first 2 were great, but the divers for the crab dive were too few for our big group, so we asked our server for some chips. She has graciously followed us to bring the best old bay chips with or without diving. I didn't taste the mac mix bc it sounded strange. Three out of four who tried it didn't like it. It is great to go with a large group so you can try new things and share appetizers without filling too much before your actual meal. Most of our entrees were very good after others in the group. Two people who ordered burgers (photo below were very happy, and the sweet potato fries tasted, I can say they were delicious. The crab cake was a generous size and I did not hear any complaint from, without doubt, the best cook at the table. The children's dishes looked good, and there were no complaints from the 2 picky eaters. Two of us ordered chickens Curry (see the photo below). Big mistake like ordering Fessant Au glass in a seafood restaurant or pork ribs in a Japanese steak house. Nevertheless, the chicken was tender and the broccoli was good. Only the sauce was missing, hey, but what's in a name? If I never had REAL Curry Chicken, I wouldn't have been disappointed, would I? One person had steak who looked very good, but, was reportedly cooked. Nevertheless, when presentation and appearance are excellent, this dish and all others deserve an A. Desserts were all delicious and cheap from pecan pie to ice sunflowers, and not to forget the delicious cheesecake. Most of us agreed to come back, maybe for brunch or Sunday dinner, but a bit earlier next time. (It seems that people have seen the photo I have taken from the tables and chairs (over 18,000 times). So go out and fill the seats, not you!"

"My wife and I went to Mudville Grill last night with friends. I ordered a Kobe burger and asked that it be cooked medium. When it arrived I cut into it and it was oozing red. I called our waitress over and she agreed that it was rare and not medium. She apologized and said she would have the kitchen remake it.When she brought it back a few minutes later, it was the same burger only now it was extremely well done (I’m wondering if putting meat back on the grill after a customer has handled it violates the Health Code? .I showed it to our waitress again and she again apologized and said she would have the kitchen make me a new burger.I waited longer this time and by now my wife and friends were half way finished with their dinners. A waiter brought me a new burger and this one was also well done. I called the waitress over again and she was extremely apologetic.By this time we only had 20 minutes left before we had to leave for the theater; otherwise I would have sent this burger back too. I ate what I could and left the rest. I later got indigestion from eating overly cooked meat. The restaurant took my meal off of the bill but that doesn’t change the fact that I had a lousy dinner and was unable to enjoy it with my wife and friends. At this point I think either the owner or manager should have come to table and apologized for ruining my dinner.I would give even lower marks except that our waitress was very sweet. But I’m wondering if the kitchen over cooked my burger on purpose? One of my friends also ordered a burger and it was cooked medium without any problems."
