"My first time ever in NOLA, and my husband's first time back in more than 30 years. We arrived at the place we were staying around 9:00pm, and were starving. I looked online and Buffa's was the closest, within walking distance, that was still open (24/7! . Even though it was late, Huggy the bartender greeted us with a smile and offered us menus. When it was time to order, he sat at the table with us and took the time to ask where we were from, and also to recommend items from the menu. He told my husband the red beans and rice were the best in New Orleans, and my husband had to agree they were some of the most delicious he's ever had. My burger was cooked perfectly (extra well done and was tasty as well. We were in and out in less than an hour. I would recommend Buffa's if you're looking for a laid-back, out-of-the way spot with good food that won't break the bank!"
