"The lab has been there for a long time and has not changed at all, so I am happy to meet my friends here once a month. Quiet and comfortable, a fire to chat in winter...and they have a decent selection of British beer that used to find b much harder, but not so much more. I think prices are a bit high for food and liberation, but u r pay for atmosphere and location to some extent. Parking in the garage is comp’d, which is beautiful. It can b beat or miss w the menu at times, but the shepherds pie, beef Wellington and the main rib were always good. Some delicious sandwiches and soups too. You have a high personnel turnover here, which influences the service from time to time. It is hard to find a classic pub that is easy to get a seat or table for small or larger groups, which is another plus for this joint."
