"Fun, vibrant, electric atmosphere. Excellent Japanese food with a twist. Enjoyed the seaweed salad with tofu. Catch of the day blowtorched sashimi was very good. Black sesame ice cream topped off the meal. Not your typical Japanese restaurant, much more fun!"

"We went for the $130 sushi dinner course... was very underwhelming. The vegetables to start were bland and not very tasty. There was too much rice on the nigiri compared to other restaurants of the same ranking. The steak appetizer was also overcooked and served with a wasabi like sauce as well as a sweet soy sauce one. Very unappetizing for me and for my girlfriend. Her codfish was good though. Buttery and light. The uni was good but was kinda melting/sweating whereas sushi from lets say yasuda would have visible pieces of uni as opposed to a gelatinous blob of orange. The dessert course was mediocre as we could not tell what the ice cream was meant to taste like by itself. Supposedly its red bean but thats only with the red bean sauce topping could we taste that flavor. The ice cream texture was also very coarse and icy... not creamy at all. You would expect a michelin star rated restaurant to impress, but this one is the worst one I’ve experienced. The waitstaff was quite friendly though they seemed excessively attentive and kept checking to see if we were done with our food every couple minutes."

"Been to Kou and Ombu this place is better than either. Better quality meat, more interesting cuts of meat, better sides, better price $23.99 dinner , self serve sauces and snacks kimchi, pickles etc. , grill gets hot faster, faster service. Not sure why this place only has 4.2 stars. This is our new korean BBQ spot."
