"Horrible experience. They completely ignored us and acted like we weren’t there. They put us at a table where one person had to sit on another side of a wall and couldn’t see the whole group. Appetizers came out after the entrees, no water refills, and food was subpar. I will NEVER come back. Sad I spent my bday dinner there (which by the way was ignored, too"

"This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. The customer service from start to finish was terrible. We waited in the cold to be seated due to loud music. It took 10-15 minutes for our water and soda to arrive once we were seated. The sushi rolls came before the appetizers, the oysters were not served on ice, and our drinks came last. When we tried to order in stages, the server insisted that we order everything at once. The service was so poor that we chose not to leave a tip. The server even confronted us about this, which made us feel very uncomfortable. We decided to leave without finishing our meal due to the awkward situation. The server continued to ask us in front of other guests and staff members why we did not tip. This experience was very disappointing, and I hope this review warns others about what to expect at this restaurant."

"Kamiya is one of the newest sushi places in Jacksonville, and has done a great job of attracting a young and vibrant crowd. Usually great service, a few of the waitresses already remember us when we go back. I have been noticing some of the younger crowds are partaking in saki bombers, when they slam the table and shout boisterously. We stopped going to another sushi place across the street, which we ate at every week for over three years, when this nonsense started. Sushi restaraunts: have some respect for yourselves and do not offer saki bomber service. It offends those of us who are looking for a nice dining experience. If you want to be a loud frat bar, you will lose customers."

"This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I was extremely impressed. The Hibachi experience was amazing, especially with the Filet and Lobster combo that I treated myself to - it was delicious! My wife ordered the Naruto Maki and Crab Rangoon for appetizers, and we both enjoyed them. The Rangoon was ok on its own, but tasted much better with their homemade Yum sauce. The salad that came with my combo had a good ginger dressing, and the soup, although a bit briny for my taste, was still enjoyable. The only downside was that the Vegetable Pad Thai we ordered with no heat still had some spice, possibly from their peanut sauce. Despite this, the meal was overall fantastic. I was disappointed that they weren't part of the DashPass program, but I believe the cost of the dining experience was worth it. I will definitely keep this restaurant in mind for future Hibachi outings - it's definitely number one in my book."
