"This restaurant has always treated us well, in both places. It?s often the last restaurant opened when we can land on other options quickly enough and the Thai fried chicken is just unmatched in PDX. We have tried the entire menu and can confirm that their specialties are very special. On our last trip the specials consisted of an ice-clad padthai, asparagus and a shell soup. We ordered them all. Then we ordered Roti and Curry and several other soups and sides. Hat Yai sits in my PDX Top Hits list and will stay there."

"Have you ever eaten something so good, that it makes you angry?! Took the first bite out of my Hat Yai Combo and realized I have never had great fried chicken or great curry. The food is so dang good! Slap-tastic. Hands down the best Thai curry Ive ever eaten. The Thai Iced Coffee was extremely flavorful and aromatic, and not sickeningly sweet. The chicken was beyond crispy, extremely well spiced, and was still steaming hot...like this ish was hot af when it arrived that I burned my mouth. Best meal from doordash ever and best meal Ive had in Portland"

"Man, I was not expecting to be blown away by pizza shop Crispy Asparagus. Hefty portion, lightly seasoned, very crisp and not too oily, I could eat this every day. The Sisig Pie Guys and Buffalo Wings were fantastic, too, but I expect that from SPG and you should, too. Top marks."
