"The food was good but not remarkable, with dishes like crepes filled with poached pears and mascarpone cheese ice cream, smoked salmon crepes, rainbow trout, and other items that my friend couldn't remember. The execution of the food didn't quite match up to the beautiful environment. The menu, presentation, and cooking could use some improvement to make this place stand out for its food.
Unfortunately, the service was the least memorable part of the experience. Our server seemed unengaged and not very knowledgeable. There were mix-ups with our orders, slow service, and delays in getting our drinks and food. Despite these shortcomings, the beautiful surroundings and the company of my friends made for a memorable experience. I will definitely be returning to this spot for brunch in my favorite East Hollywood neighborhood."
