"Service is pretty meh here. Our server rushed to ask for a drinks order within seconds of our being seated, then when she returned, we went ahead and ordered everything at once to make her life easier. A lot of non-wait staff ultimately had to cover for her with our table (and they were great). That was pretty much the end of her paying attention to our table. Appetizers (which were delicious) arrived before our hot sake. And then after our ramen was delivered to our table, she never came back to check on us. It would have been nice had she done so, as the soft boiled egg in my tonkatsu ramen was cold (delicious but cold). The mazeman was excellent and the chashu is some of the best in New York, so I would definitely come back another time. It was a busy Friday night, but we also were sitting down to dinner late enough that service was starting to wind down for the evening. By the time we got our check, the restaurant was nearly empty. It's pretty cheap considering the hype surrounding the chef and definitely one of the best quality ramen shops in the city, but some easy misses in there."
