"I didn't know what to expect when we rolled through the district towards Koon Thai, so when we walked in, I was hit by the young, funky decor with bright murals and art, and the shiny tuk-tuk filled with flowers. We sat in a large booth for 7 people and ordered 11 different dishes including appetizers. The Satay, fresh rolls, and gyoza all delivered but the stars of the show we're the entries. Massaman curry with lamb was phenomenal. Truly beautiful piece of meat, cooked perfectly in a rich curry. The roti served along with it were oh so crispy and flaky and scrumptious. Khao Soi was also super good. Noodles were great and the soup was rich and gingery. I appreciate that it was served the traditional way with lime, red onion (shallot? , and pickled veggies on the side. Let's not forget the ball of crunchy noodles to contrast the slippery, bouncy noodles in the soup. Bomb. Other more standard dishes like pineapple friend rice and pad see ew were also good. Our whole group was swooning. The adorable, friendly, efficient server added a cheerful touch to our night. I hope we can go back soon!"
